Omnicell quarterly revenue reaches $307.851 million despite 1% annual decline
Key Facts
Omnicell reported third-quarter results on October 29, saying revenue and profitability exceeded the high end of its previous guidance range. Revenue was $307.851 million, down from $310.631 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025, a decline of $2.780 million, or about 1%. Meanwhile, non-GAAP net income rose to $27 million, or $0.58 per diluted share, from $24 million and $0.51 per share a year earlier. Non-GAAP EBITDA was $45 million, compared with $41 million in the third quarter of 2025. The company reported the results alongside an update to its full-year outlook, as the figures showed improved profitability despite lower quarterly revenue.
The company narrowed its 2026 revenue outlook to $1.225–$1.231 billion, from $1.225–$1.245 billion. It said the revision reflects greater visibility with one quarter left in the year, not a change in underlying demand. It also narrowed its annual recurring revenue outlook to $660–$670 million, with the low end unchanged. It kept its product bookings range between $425 million and $560 million. The revenue update therefore took the form of a narrower range, while the increase in adjusted operating earnings guidance was tied to cost factors and customer mix cited by management.
Management said the increase to its full-year EBITDA guidance reflects the “cost efficiency and favorable customer mix” seen in the third quarter, adding that it expects them to continue in the fourth quarter. In its results statement, the company attributed the quarter’s performance to demand for its connected devices portfolio, favorable product and service margins, and cost management discipline. Chief Executive Randall Lipps said performance reflected the discipline the company had built over the year, along with continued customer interest in solutions aimed at improving efficiency, safety and workforce productivity in medication management. He added that customers are evaluating the potential value of combining Titan XT with the OmniSphere cloud platform, designed to improve productivity, efficiency and workflow reliability. These statements link the quarter’s performance to customer mix, cost management and demand for the company’s solutions, without attributing the narrowing of the revenue range to stronger underlying demand.
For the fourth quarter, Omnicell set a revenue range of $295 million to $301 million, and a non-GAAP EBITDA range of $30 million to $36 million. It also set an adjusted earnings-per-share range of $0.41 to $0.49. These estimates cover the final period of the year, during which management said it expects cost efficiency and favorable customer mix to continue. At the end of the third quarter, cash and cash equivalents totaled $315 million, against debt of $169 million, while operating cash flow was $33 million during the quarter. The company is scheduled to discuss its results on a call on October 29, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
OMCL shares closed at $35.95 on October 28, the day before the results announcement. After the announcement, an Investing.com report citing Reuters said the stock rose 9.87% in premarket trading on October 29. The premarket move followed the announcement that revenue and profitability exceeded the high end of previous guidance, and that adjusted net income and earnings per share rose from a year earlier. The statement presents non-GAAP EBITDA as a supplemental measure, not a substitute for results prepared in accordance with accounting principles. The company’s definition of the measure also excludes stock-based compensation and certain other adjustments.
