Suzlon Holds Adjusted Profit at 394 Crore Rupees as Revenue Grows 26%
Key Facts
Suzlon Energy reported consolidated adjusted net profit of 394 crore rupees for the quarter ended in September of fiscal 2027, compared with 389 crore rupees a year earlier, according to Moneycontrol. This reflects broadly stable adjusted profit despite growth in revenue from operations during the period. Revenue rose 26% year on year to 4,869 crore rupees, supported by higher wind turbine deliveries. Deliveries stood at 710 megawatts, compared with 565 megawatts in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. The figures place business growth alongside visible pressure on margins, making the trajectory of operating profitability a complementary focus in assessing sales growth.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization stood at 720 crore rupees, compared with 721 crore rupees a year earlier, according to Moneycontrol. At the same time, the margin on those earnings contracted to 14.8% from 18.6% in the corresponding period. Revenue growth therefore was not matched by a similar improvement in operating profit or its margin. The comparison shows that higher deliveries and revenue did not prevent a decline in the ratio of earnings to sales. The margin remains essential to understanding the gap between business expansion and stable adjusted profit.
Moneycontrol noted that the year-on-year comparison of reported profit was affected by a large deferred tax benefit recorded in the previous period, making the reported annual decline appear sharper than the adjusted profit picture. Adjusted net profit was 394 crore rupees, compared with 389 crore rupees a year earlier, which the report described as broadly stable. This context changes how the headline decline in annual profit is read, separating the effect of the tax comparison from adjusted profit performance. But stable profit does not erase the contraction in the earnings-before-interest-taxes-depreciation-and-amortization margin during the quarter. Suzlon's results therefore combine increased activity, broadly stable adjusted profit and margin pressure.
Suzlon ended the quarter with an order book of more than 6 gigawatts, while new orders exceeded 1.5 gigawatts during the first half of fiscal 2027, according to the report. The size of the order book indicates contracted work tracked as part of the company's activity, while new orders reflect what it added during the first half. These figures accompany deliveries of 710 megawatts in the quarter, compared with 565 megawatts a year earlier. The comparison between orders and deliveries shows two sides of the company's activity during the period: existing work and actual execution. The quarter's margins remain a parallel indicator when assessing the trajectory of operating performance.

The monthly slowdown compared with August came alongside continued year-on-year growth in industrial production. Industrial production data for October is due on November 30, 2026, according to India's Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
