Gas Flows to Enterprise Products’ Permian Plants Reach Record, Rise 12%
Key Facts
Natural gas flows into Enterprise Products’ processing plants in the Permian Basin reached a record 4.6 billion cubic feet per day in the third quarter of 2026, up 12% from the same period a year earlier, according to the partnership’s results. The results showed broader activity across transportation and processing, with natural gas liquids pipeline volumes reaching a record 5.0 million barrels per day, up 6% year over year. The company said growth in natural gas and natural gas liquids production in the Permian was a key driver of results. It added that demand for U.S. energy products and petrochemicals supported performance. It also pointed to higher gas transportation volumes in the Haynesville Basin and contributions from assets that entered service during the previous twelve months.
The activity was reflected in adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, which reached $2.8 billion in the third quarter, up 16% from the third quarter of 2025. Net income attributable to common unitholders rose 21% to $1.6 billion. Earnings were $0.75 per diluted unit. According to Reuters, as reported by Investing.com, earnings exceeded analysts’ estimate of $0.73 per unit. Revenue was also $17.95 billion, ahead of the average estimate of $15.51 billion.
Volume growth extended to the company’s offshore terminals, where hydrocarbon liquid exports reached 2.5 million barrels per day in the third quarter, up 28% year over year. The partnership declared a distribution of $0.56 per common unit for the quarter, up 2.8% from the same period a year earlier. The declared distribution equates to $2.24 per unit on an annualized basis. In premarket trading following the results, the company’s units rose 0.3%, according to Investing.com, citing Reuters. These indicators come as the company links its performance to growth in gas and natural gas liquids production and demand for U.S. products.
Investors are focused on the export and processing expansion projects that the company expected to bring online in the fourth quarter of 2026. An expansion of the liquefied petroleum gas export terminal is set to increase loading capacity by about 300,000 barrels per day, bringing the total to 1.1 million barrels per day. In the same period, the Athena plant is expected to begin processing natural gas at a capacity of 300 million cubic feet per day. Its expected maximum capacity for extracting natural gas liquids is 40,000 barrels per day. These new capacities are intended to accommodate additional gas and natural gas liquids flows across the company’s network.
