Crédit Agricole Assurances said total premium income reached €44.4 billion in the first nine months of 2026, up 12.8% year on year on the comparison basis stated in the company’s release. Net inflows totaled €15 billion for the period, including €3.2 billion in the third quarter. Third-quarter premium income alone reached €12.4 billion, up 5.6% from the same period in 2025. The figures put third-quarter growth below the reported pace of increase for the nine months, while positive inflows continued to support activity. The company published its data on October 30, while CRARY shares closed at $8.51 in the October 29 session, which preceded the results release.

Savings and retirement accounted for the largest share of third-quarter premiums, at €9.4 billion, up 5% year on year, with the group saying performance in France drove the increase. In flows linked to the business, €1.4 billion went into euro-denominated funds and €1.8 billion into unit-linked funds during the quarter. Assets under management in savings, retirement and funeral insurance totaled €395.8 billion at the end of September, up 7.9% year on year. Unit-linked products accounted for 31.6% of those assets. The figures reflect a broader asset base and a distribution of flows across funds, alongside premium growth.

The group said savings and retirement helped offset the impact of weather events in the third quarter, including drought, crop damage, storms, hail and fires. Insurance business revenue was €704 million in the quarter, up 4.3% from the third quarter of 2025, and €2.27 billion in the first nine months, up 3.5% from the corresponding period. Net income attributable to the group from insurance business was €492 million in the third quarter, up 5.9% year on year. But net income for the year-to-date period was €1.443 billion, down 1.2% from the first nine months of 2025. The contractual service margin was €27.9 billion at the end of September, up 1.3% from the end of December 2025.

The group is scheduled to report fourth-quarter and full-year 2026 results on February 4, 2027. Those results will provide an update on the final period of the year after premium income grew 5.6% in the third quarter, compared with a 12.8% increase for the nine-month period on the stated comparison basis. They will also follow net inflows of €15 billion since the start of the year, including €3.2 billion in the third quarter. Assets under management and the contractual service margin remain among the published indicators that complete the picture of insurance, savings and retirement activity. Figures through September showed a divergence between premium growth and a decline in insurance net income on a nine-month basis.
