BrightSpring signed 7 new limited-distribution drug contracts in the third quarter of 2026, according to a Reuters report citing a BMO analyst’s estimate that the total was more than three times the number the company signed in 2024 and 2025 combined. The information came ahead of the company’s third-quarter results, which it scheduled for October 30, before an earnings call set for the same day at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time. The company announced the date on October 1. The new contracts put limited-distribution drugs at the center of what investors are watching as results are released. They also give management an opportunity to clarify whether second-quarter momentum continued through the three months ended in September.

Before the results, analysts forecast earnings of 0.20 dollars per share for the quarter ended in September, up 17.65% year over year, according to the Reuters report. The report compared that estimate with earnings of 0.45 dollars per share in the second quarter of 2026. The comparison provides context for assessing the company’s performance between the two quarters, as investors awaited whether it would sustain the momentum recorded in the second quarter. The report also noted attention to management’s comments on 2027 guidance. Market expectations thus brought together the question of continued performance and particular interest in the new-contract pipeline and outlook for the following year.

In the second quarter, net revenue was 3,873 million dollars, compared with 3,148 million dollars in the same period of 2025, an increase of 23.0% year over year. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were 206 million dollars, up from 143 million a year earlier, a 44.2% increase. In February 2026, the company had issued initial guidance for full-year revenue of between 14,450 and 15,000 million dollars, and adjusted earnings of between 760 and 790 million dollars. This provides the comparison point that preceded subsequent guidance updates in the second-quarter filing. After completing the divestiture of its Community Living business on March 30, the company said its financial results reflect continuing operations.

In its second-quarter filing, Chief Executive John Russo said the results reflected “our focus on quality, service-level performance, and our dedication to the patients we serve.” The earlier results report said investors were also monitoring the trajectory of limited-distribution drug contracts, alongside management’s comments on 2027 guidance. On the balance sheet, leverage was 2.15 times on June 30, compared with 2.27 times on March 31. The filing said the company repaid 300 million dollars of its first-lien facility during the second quarter. The company’s shares closed at 60.22 dollars on October 29, the eve of the scheduled results release and earnings call.
