South Korean exchange Bithumb announced it will end trading support for BLUR and CORE, setting Nov. 30, 2026, at 15:00 Korea time as the expected end of buying and selling. The platform published its notice on Oct. 30, 2026, at 16:00 Korea time. It said the announced date could change for internal reasons, and the withdrawal end date could also change. Bithumb set Dec. 30, 2026, at 15:00 Korea time as the end of withdrawal support. The decision means trading will stop one month before the withdrawal window closes, requiring users to arrange transfers of their balances during that period.

Bithumb attributed its decision on BLUR to the warning issues remaining unresolved after it reviewed explanatory materials submitted by the foundation. It said it examined changes to the business plan and their implementation and measures, as well as the asset's use, purpose and function. It concluded that the token did not meet the criteria for continued trading support and decided to end it. For CORE, the platform said the reasons for classifying it as an asset under warning had not been resolved, and it therefore also decided to end trading support. Both decisions thus rest on continuing warning concerns, with Bithumb citing a review of project elements and the asset's function in BLUR's case.

When trading support ends, Bithumb will also stop offering trading in the tokens through its API and will collectively cancel unfilled buy and sell orders. It asked users seeking to transfer assets to overseas virtual asset service providers or personal wallets to register withdrawal addresses in advance. The exchange said reviewing addresses on its whitelist takes time. The notice does not tie address registration to a specific date, but says users need to act early to complete the review before they need to transfer funds. The specified end date for withdrawal support is Dec. 30, 2026, at 15:00 Korea time.

Bithumb warned that technical support for the assets may end after withdrawal support expires, including support for the mainnet, forks, airdrops and token swaps. It added that withdrawals themselves may be subject to restrictions after that date. The exchange also said holding the tokens after trading support ends could lead to losses if technical support stops or prices fall on other platforms. These conditions place the end of withdrawal support in a broader context than simply closing Bithumb's withdrawal channel, as related services and the ability to transfer the assets could be affected. The platform therefore asked users planning to transfer their assets to register addresses in advance.

Bithumb's general policy says that placing an asset on its warning list does not automatically mean trading support will end; the exchange examines the reasons for the classification and investor-protection measures before deciding whether to lift the warning or end trading. Bithumb classified BLUR as an asset under warning on Oct. 13, after the foundation announced plans to end the front end of its main services. It said at the time that it needed to assess the effect of the change on the business plan, token use and function, and suspended deposits on the same date. It set the last week of October as the expected window for announcing whether it would lift the warning or end support. For CORE, Bithumb had extended the warning period on Sept. 30, saying it was reviewing project statements, facts and subsequent actions, with a final decision expected during the last week of October.

Bithumb's decision came as BLUR faced changes to its services: Blur announced that the blur.io front end would shut down on Nov. 12, 2026. It said the shutdown applied only to the front end, while the marketplace protocol would remain operational on-chain and the token would continue to control the protocol's fee switch. In trading, BLUR recorded the lowest historical price shown on Upbit's data page on Oct. 25, at 10.60 South Korean won. The page showed declines of 57.29% over one month and 82.23% over one year, and listed a price of 12.30 won against a previous close of 12.40 won. These figures track the token's movement before Bithumb announced the end of trading, while the next announced change to Blur's services is scheduled for Nov. 12, followed by Bithumb's expected, changeable trading and withdrawal end dates of Nov. 30 and Dec. 30, respectively.
