AbbVie reported worldwide revenue of $17.404 billion in the third quarter of 2026, up 10.3% on a reported basis and 10.5% operationally, according to a company statement published Oct. 30. Adjusted diluted earnings were $3.82 per share, an increase of more than 100%, the statement said. Earnings included a negative impact of $0.11 per share from acquired in-process research and development and milestones. Adjusted earnings were above an earlier estimate of $3.74 per share reported by Kiplinger before the results announcement. The company also raised its annual adjusted earnings-per-share forecast range, alongside revenue growth in its immunology and neuroscience portfolios.

Revenue growth accelerated compared with the third quarter of 2025, when the company posted $15.776 billion, up 9.1% on a reported basis and 8.4% operationally. In the second quarter of 2026, revenue was $16.990 billion, up 10.2% on a reported basis and 9.5% operationally. The third-quarter figures show an increase in total revenue and the growth rate compared with the two earlier periods. Adjusted earnings per share had been $1.86 in the third quarter of 2025, down 38%, with a negative impact of $1.50 per share from acquired in-process research and development and milestones. The difference between that impact and the $0.11 in the current quarter figures in the comparison of per-share results between the two periods.

Immunology was the largest revenue source specified in the results, at $9.165 billion, up 16.3% on a reported basis. Revenue from Skyrizi rose to $5.776 billion, while Rinvoq revenue was $2.706 billion. By contrast, Humira revenue fell to $683 million, down 31.2% on a reported basis. The divergence puts growth in Skyrizi and Rinvoq against Humira’s continued revenue decline within the same portfolio. The company also announced the completion of its acquisition of Apogee Therapeutics, and its chief executive said the deal strengthened the company’s long-term growth prospects.

The neuroscience portfolio recorded revenue of $3.389 billion, up 19.4% on a reported basis. Vraylar revenue was about $1.068 billion, while Botox Therapeutic revenue was $1.080 billion. In contrast, revenue from the aesthetics portfolio fell 1.4% to $1.176 billion. Botox Cosmetic revenue was about $669 million, while Juvederm recorded about $222 million. The figures show a difference between growth in the immunology and neuroscience portfolios and declining aesthetics revenue during the same quarter.

AbbVie raised its 2026 adjusted diluted earnings forecast range to $13.95–$13.99 per share, from a previous range of $13.76–$13.96. The new forecast includes a cumulative negative impact of $0.69 per share from acquired in-process research and development and milestones through the end of the third quarter. The company had lowered its forecast range in the second quarter to $13.87–$14.07 per share, compared with the range of $13.91–$14.11 before that update. The new October range is above the second-quarter range at both the low and high ends. The company also announced a 5.2% increase in its 2027 dividend, with the new payment set to begin in February 2027.

AbbVie shares closed at $290.97 on Oct. 29, compared with a close of $285.99 on Oct. 28, according to EL7 data. The Oct. 29 close preceded the results announcement published the following day, so it does not reflect the share-price move after the figures were released. The company statement did not provide a post-announcement share price in the available information. The quarterly results combined growth in overall revenue and accelerating growth in immunology and neuroscience with declines in Humira and the aesthetics portfolio. The next dated change in dividend policy announced in the statement takes effect with the payment due in February 2027.
