Cheniere reported revenue of $6.173 billion in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, up 39% from $4.441 billion in the same period last year, according to a company statement. Net income was $1.170 billion, up 12% from $1.049 billion a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA also rose to $1.900 billion from $1.608 billion, an increase of 18%. The company attributed the growth in net income to higher gross margins on delivered LNG. It said this reflected higher volumes recognized in income and wider margins per million British thermal units, along with lower income tax provisions compared with 2025.

Revenue growth coincided with an increase in actual exports during the quarter. Cheniere exported 188 cargoes, compared with 163 cargoes in the third quarter of 2025, and the company’s table showed year-over-year growth of 15% in cargoes. LNG exports totaled 684 trillion British thermal units, versus 586 trillion a year earlier, an increase of 17%, according to the same table. The company raised its 2026 adjusted earnings range to $8.75–9.25 billion from $7.90–8.40 billion previously. It also raised its full-year distributable cash flow range to $6.05–6.55 billion, compared with its previous estimate of $5.30–5.80 billion.

On production capacity, Cheniere completed the seventh and final train at the Corpus Christi Stage 3 project in August, ahead of its guaranteed completion date and within budget, according to its statement. The company said the project’s completion increased its production capacity by more than 20%. Cheniere has about 56 million tonnes per year of operating liquefaction capacity, about 5 million tonnes per year under construction, and more than 40 million tonnes per year in the regulatory approval pipeline. Chief Executive Jack Fusco said the project’s completion and continued efforts to remove production bottlenecks strengthen visibility on initial production expectations for 2027. The company linked its current capacity expansion to an improved ability to define its initial production for that year.

Cheniere’s long-term contractual commitments expanded through two sale and purchase agreements with QatarEnergy, signed by Sabine Pass LNG and Corpus Christi LNG. The agreements provide for a total of 4 million tonnes per year of LNG, with deliveries to begin in the early 2030s and continue through the end of 2054. One million tonnes per year under the Sabine Pass agreement remains conditional on a positive final investment decision. In the U.S. export market, the Energy Information Administration said average LNG exports were 17.4 billion cubic feet per day in the first half of 2026, up 23% year over year. The agency estimated an average of 17.3 billion cubic feet per day in the second half of 2026, then 18.7 billion in the first half of 2027; these are estimates for the U.S. sector, not guidance specific to Cheniere.

The results coincided with stronger demand for U.S. cargoes amid supply disruptions from Qatar and concerns about shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, Reuters reported. The agency said the concerns prompted buyers to reassess their exposure to the Gulf. Cheniere said India’s LNG imports rose 21% year to date and 9% year over year in the third quarter, despite average JKM prices rising 43% year to date and 94% in the quarter compared with the corresponding periods in 2025. Cheniere shares rose 5% on October 29, according to Reuters. EL7 data showed the stock closed at $318.94 that day, versus $297.77 in the previous session.

Cheniere announced a quarterly cash distribution of $0.625 per share, an increase of more than 12% from the previous quarter. The distribution will be paid on November 17, 2026, to shareholders of record at the close of trading on November 9, according to the company statement. In October, S&P Global Ratings raised the issuer rating of Cheniere Corpus Christi Holdings, LLC, to A- from BBB+, with a stable outlook. For the proposed Sabine Pass expansion, Reuters reported that the company secured $3.5 billion in financing to match its $3.5 billion contribution. One million tonnes per year under the supply agreement with QatarEnergy remains tied to a positive final investment decision on the project.
