Ripple and Robinhood announced a strategic partnership on October 27, 2026, linking the brokerage platform with Ripple’s infrastructure for stablecoins, institutional markets and treasury management. The partnership spans 3 tracks: using RLUSD for institutional settlement through the XRP Ledger, integrating Ripple Treasury into Robinhood’s financial operations, and expanding cooperation through Ripple Prime. Ripple said the stablecoin is currently available on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood, with its arrival on the Robinhood app expected later this year. Under the agreement, Robinhood will use RLUSD on the XRP Ledger for institutional settlement. That use places the stablecoin among the company’s announced settlement operations, alongside its availability through affiliated trading platforms.

The treasury track extends to updating and automating global operations through cash and liquidity management, cash-flow forecasting, payments, risk management and intercompany clearing. The system provides a range of internal financial functions for the company, rather than being limited to listing a stablecoin in a trading app. The third track covers Ripple Prime services; the platform will provide Bitstamp by Robinhood with lending and margin financing on about 20 digital assets. In return, Ripple Prime clients will be able to trade spot markets on Bitstamp, with perpetual futures support later in the year. Johan Kerbrat, Robinhood Crypto and International’s senior vice president and general manager, said the agreement provides "RLUSD for institutional settlement, Ripple Treasury for our operations, and Ripple Prime for financing."

Ripple President Monica Long said the partnership "reflects growing institutional demand for integrated solutions," pointing to the combination of customer-facing offerings with core financial operations. The agreement comes as Robinhood serves about 28.6 million funded customers worldwide, including institutional clients through Bitstamp. RLUSD’s market capitalization has exceeded $2.4 billion since its launch in December 2024. Total stablecoin supply also exceeded $300 billion at the time the partnership was announced, according to a Ripple statement. These figures place the agreement in the context of an expanding stablecoin market and growing institutional use cases, while the announced tracks focus on settlement, financing and treasury management.

The agreement was preceded by another move to expand Ripple Treasury’s capabilities a day earlier: on October 26, Ripple announced around-the-clock cash, liquidity and payments management capabilities, targeting global companies including American Airlines, Trax, Christian Louboutin, Subway, Adecco and Kingfisher. The platform includes the 24/7 Returns feature, which allows eligible customers to earn returns on eligible digital assets held in a Ripple wallet, including RLUSD, subject to program requirements. On October 28, Ripple and Coinbase announced RLUSD availability through Coinbase Prime, Coinbase Exchange and the Coinbase Retail app, with support for the XRP Ledger, Base and Ethereum. Ripple said availability to Coinbase Global Exchange customers would follow later. These announcements expand the stablecoin’s trading channels and announced uses over consecutive days, while its arrival on the Robinhood app remains expected later this year.

Robinhood reported third-quarter results on October 27, the same day it announced the partnership. The company posted record net revenue of $1.42 billion, up 12% year over year, while net income fell 14% and diluted earnings per share declined 16% to $0.51. Net deposits totaled $15.7 billion during the quarter, and Robinhood Gold subscribers rose to 5.2 million, an increase of 1.3 million, or 34%, year over year. HOOD shares closed at $91.43 on October 28, after closing at $96.58 on October 22, $95.07 on October 23, $92.84 on October 26 and $94.56 on October 27. Those closing prices show the stock declined between October 22 and 28, without by themselves establishing a direct link between the move and the market or partnership.
