Ondo Launches 7 Tokenized Investment Portfolios on Solana After Assets Top $45 Million
Key Facts
Ondo Finance said on October 29, 2026, that it had made 7 smart portfolios available on the Solana network, extending its tokenized investment product to a new network, according to a company statement. The lineup covers income and growth strategies, as well as exposure to specific themes, including artificial intelligence. Ondo said the portfolios are available to eligible investors worldwide outside the United States. Each token provides exposure to a portfolio of Ondo Stocks assets built around a specific investment strategy. The company said the portfolios topped $45 million in total value locked on Ethereum and BNB Chain during their first weeks of trading, before becoming available on Solana.
The portfolios use tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds from Ondo Stocks, which the company says are backed by real securities. This lets investors hold exposure to an entire portfolio through a single token, rather than handling each position individually. The strategy determines how assets are allocated to the portfolio, while allocation, rebalancing and fee rules are encoded in smart contracts. Rebalancing follows predefined rules and a set schedule, according to Ondo. Portfolio holdings, weights and rebalancing transactions are also visible onchain, allowing investors to track how the strategy is implemented. Investors can hold a single portfolio or combine several to build their chosen allocation.
Three of the 7 portfolios are based on portfolio strategies BlackRock developed for use by Ondo, according to the announcement. Those strategies formed the initial lineup when the product was introduced on September 24, 2026. The first three portfolios were BLKHIon for a high-income strategy, BLKDIGon for diversified growth and BLKGRWon for high growth. The lineup now available on Solana also includes portfolios for broader income and growth exposure, as well as thematic exposure, including artificial intelligence. The range of strategies has expanded from the first three portfolios, while some of the new portfolios remain based on models BlackRock developed for Ondo. The company describes the product as giving investors the option to choose one approach or combine several.
The Solana availability follows Ondo’s launch of its tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds on the network in January 2026, providing the underlying assets for the portfolios. The Solana Foundation said at the time that Ondo Global Markets had added more than 200 tokenized U.S. stocks and funds to the network. The foundation added that the tokens are backed 1 to 1 by securities held with U.S.-registered broker-dealers. In June, Ondo announced 24/7 instant minting and redemption for some tokenized stocks and funds, including on weekends and U.S. public holidays. The portfolio launch therefore builds on the stock and fund products already available on Solana, grouping those assets into defined strategies.
Ondo said the portfolio tokens are transferable between individuals and can be used with supported decentralized finance applications. They can also be transferred around the clock in permitted jurisdictions, with access limited to eligible investors. The company had described the product’s early performance as having topped $45 million in total value locked during its first weeks of trading on Ethereum and BNB Chain, and said it had become the largest onchain portfolio product by that measure. The figure represents the amount of money locked in the portfolios during that period, not investment returns or price performance. Ondo cited the comparison in its Solana availability announcement, without stating a comparable figure for the new network.
The company said plans to add other portfolios and strategies are in the works, without specifying a launch date. When it introduced the product in September, it said the strategies could evolve to include additional asset classes, such as derivatives, spot cryptocurrencies, options and futures. The October 29 announcement did not set a timeline for these expansions or identify which assets would be added first. The current launch focuses on existing portfolios and tokenized Ondo Stocks assets, while expanding access to them through Solana. Ondo said its goal is to broaden the range of strategies available to investors as it adds more portfolios.
