Mobileye Raises 2026 Revenue Outlook to $2.02 Billion as EyeQ Shipments Grow 11%
Key Facts
Mobileye raised its 2026 revenue outlook to a range of $1.995 billion to $2.020 billion, an increase of $13 million at the midpoint from its previous estimate, according to the company's third-quarter results statement. The new range implies expected annual growth of 5% to 7%. The update came as EyeQ chip shipment volume rose 11% year over year in the first nine months of the year, according to Chief Executive Amnon Shashua. Shashua said global vehicle production fell about 1% in the comparable period, based on the company's estimate. The comparison puts shipment performance in the context of an industry facing lower production, while the company's sales growth also remains tied to product and pricing mix.
Among its 10 largest customers, Mobileye expects shipments to grow 7% during 2026, including changes in safety stock, while total vehicle production by those customers is expected to fall 5%. The company presents these forecasts as evidence that its shipments are diverging from its customers' production volumes, but they include the impact of inventory adjustments and do not reflect final demand alone. In the third quarter, average system price fell 5% year over year. The company attributed this mainly to a higher share of exports by Chinese automakers, which carry less software content and lower prices, and to lower SuperVision shipments. Higher EyeQ volumes partly offset the impact of lower prices and SuperVision sales, according to the company statement.
Mobileye said the higher revenue outlook mainly reflects higher-than-expected SuperVision deliveries, along with passing higher memory costs on to customers. The pass-through added about $7 million to third-quarter revenue, with no gross margin, meaning this part of the increase added no gross margin for the company. The company said in its second-quarter results that a 3% year-over-year increase in system shipments, driven by stronger customer demand, was offset by lower average selling prices for EyeQ, particularly as exports by Chinese automakers exceeded expectations. This points to the continued impact of the Chinese export mix on prices across quarters, even as the drivers of revenue differ in the current outlook update. The expected revenue increase also remains tied to the level of actual deliveries and the mix of systems and software.
The generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) net loss was $67 million in the third quarter, compared with a loss of $96 million in the same period a year earlier. The operating loss also narrowed to $82 million from $109 million. Meanwhile, the company posted a GAAP diluted loss of $0.08 per share, while adjusted diluted earnings were $0.11 per share. The figures show year-over-year improvement in net and operating losses, with a difference between the reported accounting result and the adjusted per-share measure. For the nine months ended September 26, the company generated $303 million in cash from operating activities, and its cash, marketable securities and deposits totaled $1.5 billion on that date.
On product plans, Shashua said in the second-quarter update that Mobileye was preparing to launch advanced products in late 2026 and throughout 2027. He pointed to opportunities spanning consumer automotive products, autonomous driving systems, robotaxi services and humanoid robots. The company linked growth opportunities in the consumer automotive market to two complementary drivers: bringing advanced driver-assistance systems to more vehicles and increasing the value offered per vehicle. The company had set the release of its third-quarter results before the market opened on October 29, 2026, with a call to review results and provide a business update at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The results statement places the revised revenue outlook alongside upcoming launch plans, while this disclosure does not include a share price move or trading range.
