Harsco Environmental Revenue Rises 3% to $266 Million in Second Quarter
Key Facts
Harsco Environmental recorded revenue of $266 million in the second quarter of 2026, up 3% from the same period a year earlier, according to Enviri’s results. The company attributed the revenue growth to higher service and product volumes and service prices. The division’s adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were $46 million, compared with $40 million in the second quarter of 2025. Chief Executive Russell Hawkman said Harsco Environmental and Harsco Rail exceeded the high end of their forecast ranges in the second quarter. He added that this was achieved while end markets remained weak.
Harsco Environmental serves about 70 steelmaking customers at nearly 120 sites across 30 countries, according to the company. Its services include scrap and slag handling and resource recovery, activities tied to steel plant operations and waste management. At Ezz Steel’s Sadat City plant, annual production capacity is one million tons of reinforcing steel. The plant has an electric arc furnace, a billet caster and two rolling mills. The furnace operates with a mix of 80% direct reduced iron and 20% high-quality steel scrap, according to Ezz Steel data.
Enviri said more than 80% of the steel slag processed by Harsco Environmental was recycled or reused in 2024. This places resource recovery among the division’s stated services, alongside scrap and slag handling at steel production sites. At Enviri level, continuing operations revenue was $324 million in the second quarter of 2026, excluding the impact of adjustments related to exits from rail contracts. That represented a 2% year-over-year increase, according to the company. It also said Clean Earth’s historical results are now presented as discontinued operations following its sale.
Markets are awaiting Enviri’s announcement of third-quarter 2026 results on November 5, before the New York market opens, according to the company’s announcement. The company is scheduled to hold an investor call the same day at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The upcoming announcement may provide an update on the performance of the company’s businesses, including Harsco Environmental, during the third quarter. The division’s second-quarter results showed higher revenue and adjusted earnings compared with the same period a year earlier. The results-date announcement did not specify what the upcoming figures would include.
