Entegris Sales Top $1 Billion as Margins Expand in Third Quarter of 2026
Key Facts
CEO Dave Reeder said the company delivered “record revenue, continued margin expansion and strong earnings growth, all above our guidance range.” Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share were $1.23. Management described cash flow as record-setting and said it enabled faster debt repayment. The announcement came after the company’s shares closed at $159.32 on Oct. 28, before the results were released; that figure does not reflect the stock’s move after the announcement.
Gross margin widened to 49.7% from 43.5% a year earlier, while operating margin rose to 22.9% from 15.2%. The comparison reflects simultaneous improvement in sales volume and reported profitability. On a quarterly basis, non-GAAP earnings per share rose to $1.23 in the third quarter from $0.93 in the second quarter. Sales in the prior quarter were $883.2 million.
Non-GAAP earnings per share exceeded analysts’ estimate of $1.02 by $0.21, according to Investing.com, which reported sales of $1.01 billion against consensus of $923.81 million. The company had forecast third-quarter sales of $905 million to $935 million and non-GAAP earnings of $0.96 to $1.04 per share, then said the results exceeded its guidance range. These comparisons put the quarter’s results above both analyst estimates and the company’s previous range, while the company’s release remained the basis for year-over-year comparisons and GAAP profitability. In the second quarter, management linked improved semiconductor demand and accelerating customer capital investment to double-digit growth in its systems and capital-related businesses. Reeder said at the time that the company exceeded guidance across key metrics.
Reeder attributed business growth to increasing semiconductor complexity, greater materials intensity and investment in advanced technologies. He also pointed to expanded customer plans to win business and secure new design wins. The company said its systems and capital spending businesses contributed to growth amid improving sector demand and accelerating customer investment. That places the performance of a supplier of semiconductor manufacturing materials and components at the center of customers’ spending cycle on advanced technologies. The company’s release did not link these drivers to a specific share-price move after the announcement.
Entegris expects fourth-quarter sales, for the quarter ending Dec. 31, of $1,025 million to $1,055 million and non-GAAP diluted earnings of $1.32 to $1.40 per share. That compares with analyst consensus reported by Investing.com of $960 million in sales and earnings per share of $1.11. The figures put the low end of the company’s outlook above published consensus for both measures, with the company’s earnings guidance remaining on a non-GAAP basis. Entegris said management will discuss the company’s opportunities and long-term strategy at its Capital Markets Day scheduled for Nov. 9, 2026.
