Carrier to Report Third-Quarter Results on Oct. 29 After Quarterly Sales of $6.351 Billion
Key Facts
Carrier plans to release its third-quarter 2026 results on Oct. 29 and hold an investor call at 7:30 a.m. Eastern time, according to an investor relations notice. The date puts the company’s upcoming results in focus after second-quarter figures showed diverging trends in sales growth and year-over-year adjusted EPS. In July, the company issued 2026 fiscal-year guidance for sales of about $23 billion and adjusted EPS of about $2.90. The announcement will therefore be watched for quarterly performance and any official update to the annual guidance. The open notice setting the results date did not include third-quarter figures or analyst expectations.
In the second quarter of 2026, Carrier reported net sales of $6.351 billion, compared with $6.113 billion in the same period of 2025, a 4% year-over-year increase, according to the company’s statement. Organic sales returned to growth ahead of management’s expectations, rising 3% during the quarter. Chief Executive David Gitlin said the improvement was "driven by strong performance in the Americas Climate Solutions segment." Adjusted EPS, by contrast, fell to $0.86 from $0.92 a year earlier, a 7% decline. The figures provide the backdrop against which the new report will be measured: sales growth alongside pressure on adjusted EPS.
The company pointed to strong demand in the second quarter, with total orders up about 40%, commercial HVAC orders up about 65%, and data-center orders growing by more than 300%. Gitlin said orders were "very strong globally in the second quarter," attributing this to continued data-center-related demand. These indicators put commercial cooling and data centers among the key activity drivers cited by management ahead of the third-quarter results. Free cash flow was $810 million in the second quarter, compared with $568 million in the corresponding period of 2025. July’s guidance also included an expectation for adjusted operating profit of about $3.5 billion in fiscal 2026.
In its previous guidance, Carrier said adjusted EPS included a negative impact of about $0.05 per share related to the NORESCO exit and costs for the new U.S. factory. This comes as the company advances an industrial expansion plan announced on Oct. 22, involving an investment of more than $600 million over the next three years in a new manufacturing and engineering center in Fort Worth. Carrier expects the site to begin operating in 2027 and provide 1,500 jobs in manufacturing, engineering and other areas. The plan provides context for the company’s investment and manufacturing capacity, while the 2026 guidance issued in July remains the previous financial benchmark ahead of the new results. The announced call will be held on Oct. 29 at 7:30 a.m. Eastern time.
