Adani Ports reported consolidated profit after tax of 3,682 crore rupees in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, up 18% year on year, while consolidated revenue rose 24% to 11,340 crore rupees. The company said revenue in the same period a year earlier was 9,167 crore rupees, while consolidated profit then stood at 3,120 crore rupees. The results reflect simultaneous growth in profit and revenue during the September quarter, alongside an expansion of the company's activities across its operating segments. The company raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance by 1,000 crore rupees to a range of 44,000–46,000 crore rupees. It also raised its guidance for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization by 1,000 crore rupees to 26,000–27,000 crore rupees, citing strong first-half performance.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were 6,807 crore rupees in the quarter, up 23% from 5,550 crore rupees in the same period. The company said revenue grew across all four segments, with domestic ports revenue up 13% year on year. International ports revenue rose 71%, compared with growth of 21% in logistics and 57% in marine operations. This distribution puts domestic ports apart from the other segments in terms of growth pace, while they continue to support the earnings base. Chief Executive Ashwani Gupta said, "Domestic ports continue to underpin our earnings, while international ports, logistics and marine operations are emerging as strong growth drivers."

International port cargo volumes rose to 24 million metric tons in the quarter, from 10 million tons in the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2026. The company attributed the performance to increased activity at the Colombo West terminal, its operations in Tanzania and a contribution from "NQXT Australia." The comparison shows an expansion in international cargo handling alongside revenue growth in the segment, which recorded the largest increase among those cited. At group level, Reuters reported that the company handled 142 million tons of cargo in the September quarter, an increase of about 15% from a year earlier. Cargo growth came despite geopolitical tensions, shifting trade routes and global supply-chain disruptions, Reuters said.

In the first half of fiscal 2027, consolidated revenue rose 21% to 22,161 crore rupees, from 18,294 crore rupees in the first half of fiscal 2026. Gupta said strong first-half performance prompted the company to update its annual guidance, while domestic ports remained an earnings pillar. Operating cash flow in the first half was 13,327 crore rupees and funded investments worth 10,521 crore rupees. Net debt to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization was about 1.8 times. The company raised its fiscal 2027 capital expenditure guidance by 3,000 crore rupees to a range of 15,000–17,000 crore rupees.

In intraday trading on the BSE on Thursday, October 29, 2026, Adani Ports shares rose 4% to 1,823.15 rupees, according to Business Standard. The share move followed the results announcement on October 28, so the cited increase relates to the next trading session. On the same day, NDTV Profit reported that Emkay maintained its buy recommendation and raised its target price to 2,200 rupees from 2,100 rupees. Nuvama also raised its target price to 2,170 rupees from 2,000 rupees. The revisions accompany the company's expanded guidance, while the target-price estimates remain attributed to the two firms as reported by NDTV Profit.

Adani Ports is seeking to expand its international presence and transshipment capabilities, including Vizhinjam in southern India and Colombo in Sri Lanka, Reuters reported. This strategy comes as international ports, logistics and marine operations stand out among the fastest-growing segments in the quarterly results. The company retains domestic ports as the earnings base, while saying first-half strength justifies raising its fiscal-year guidance. The board is tentatively scheduled to meet on January 28, 2027, to review third-quarter fiscal 2027 results. That date remains subject to change under the company's schedule.
