Straumann Group reported revenue of CHF 667.1 million in the third quarter of 2026, beating Vara’s consensus of CHF 662.3 million, according to Reuters. The company reaffirmed its full-year outlook, which includes high-single-digit organic growth and an improvement in its core EBIT margin. The group said all regions contributed to performance, alongside premium dental implant products, competitive brands and digital solutions. The results came as organic growth accelerated in Asia-Pacific and China returned to growth after several difficult quarters. North America also continued to grow despite weak market demand and ongoing tariff pressure, according to the company and Reuters.

Straumann revenue for the first nine months of the year was CHF 2,046.5 million, with organic growth of 8.3%, compared with growth of 9.6% in the year-earlier period, according to the company’s statement. In the third quarter alone, the group posted organic growth of 9.2%, according to its data. This put quarterly revenue above analyst consensus, while the nine-month figures show a slower organic growth rate than in the comparable period. The company reaffirmed that its 2026 outlook includes high-single-digit organic growth. It also expects core EBIT margin expansion of around 140 to 170 basis points, calculated at 2025 exchange rates.

In North America, third-quarter revenue was CHF 174.9 million, and sales rose 7.5% organically, compared with 5.7% in the third quarter of 2025, according to Straumann figures. The company said the region delivered strong growth in a market characterized by weak demand. Reuters noted that growth came despite continued tariff pressure. Asia-Pacific revenue was CHF 165.6 million, with organic growth of 10.3% versus 3.2% a year earlier. The comparison highlights an improvement in the region’s growth pace, alongside a revival in momentum in the Chinese market.

Straumann attributed its performance to premium dental implant products and competitive brands in the field, as well as digital solutions. It said the iEXCEL system continued to gain market share in premium dental implants. The launch of Straumann F.A.S.T. digital solutions included SIRIOS APS technology for full-arch scanning, according to the company’s statement. In China, the market returned to growth in the third quarter after several difficult quarters marked by uncertainty over the volume-based procurement program, known as VBP. The company said the rules for the program’s next round have not yet been announced, leaving the timing of the tender and its implementation among the market developments it is monitoring.

The company expects the next VBP tender to be completed before the end of the year, with operational implementation set to begin in the first quarter of 2027. The rules for that round have not yet been announced, according to Straumann’s presentation. On margins, the company had raised its 2026 core EBIT margin improvement forecast on June 17 to a range of 140–170 basis points, from a previous range of 30–60 basis points. The group reaffirmed this outlook with its third-quarter results, based on 2025 exchange rates. The full 2026 annual report is scheduled for publication on February 24, 2027, according to the company’s investor calendar.

In a leadership change, Christopher Norbye is set to take over as chief executive from Guillaume Daniellot on December 1, 2026, according to Reuters. The group had announced the planned transition alongside its first-half results in August. The leadership handover comes as Straumann reaffirmed its annual outlook and continued to roll out dental implant products and digital solutions. The company said iEXCEL continued to gain market share in premium dental implants and launched new F.A.S.T. solutions. The company’s full annual report is expected on February 24, 2027.
