Saint-Gobain said sales in all three regions rose on a like-for-like basis in the third quarter of 2026, led by Asia-Pacific, which posted growth of 8.0%. Sales rose 2.5% in Europe and 0.6% in the Americas, according to the company statement. Regional performance followed a 2.3% like-for-like sales decline in the first quarter, according to the company’s previous update. The group said trends improved in the third quarter and all regions recorded growth. For its full-year outlook, the company maintained its forecast for an EBITDA margin above 15.0% in 2026.

Construction chemicals sales rose 6.3% like for like in the third quarter, extending the business’s positive performance this year. The activity grew 5.6% on the same basis in the nine months to the end of September, according to Saint-Gobain’s statement. In the Middle East, construction chemicals led double-digit growth, particularly in infrastructure, the company said. Sales in the Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa region rose 1.6% in the third quarter. This performance places the Middle East within a region that recorded overall growth, with construction activity contributing to results.

Asia-Pacific led the regions, with Saint-Gobain attributing its 8.0% growth to strong momentum in India and Southeast Asia. The group said India continued to gain market share and posted double-digit organic growth. Sales rose 2.5% like for like in Europe, compared with 0.6% in the Americas. Across the nine months to the end of September, the group’s like-for-like sales rose 1.2%. The figures show differing growth rates across regions and markets, with Asia delivering the strongest performance in the quarter.

In the Americas, sales rose 2% in North America, while they contracted 3% in Latin America in the third quarter, according to figures cited by Investing.com. The company attributed weakness in some North American products to a decline in new residential construction and the absence of major weather events. It also said the negative impact of changes to the group’s structure mainly reflected the sale of distribution businesses in the Nordic countries, Brazil and Belgium, as well as operations in Germany. These factors help explain some of the divergence in growth across the three regions and the pressures related to the mix of businesses and markets. Following the announcement, the company’s American depositary receipts fell about 0.5%, according to the website.

Saint-Gobain expects like-for-like sales growth in the second half of 2026, while citing a mixed economic environment and an uncertain geopolitical landscape. The group maintained its forecast for an EBITDA margin above 15.0% for the year. The company said in its statement: "We expect like-for-like sales growth in the second half of 2026." This provides a framework for assessing second-half results in light of the sales trajectory that improved during the third quarter. The group set the date for its 2026 results announcement as February 18, 2027, after trading closes on the Paris stock exchange.
