Info Edge Revenue Rises 12.8%, Operating Profit Jumps 29.8% in Second Quarter
Key Facts
Info Edge reported standalone revenue from operations of 841.7 crore rupees in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, up 12.8% year on year, according to results cited by EquityBulls. Operating profit before tax rose 29.8% to 347.3 crore rupees in the same quarter. The margin on this profit was 41.3% of revenue, the report said. The figures put revenue growth alongside a faster increase in operating profit. The results also contrasted with standalone net profit, which fell sharply compared with the year-earlier period.
Standalone net profit fell 92.9% to 333.8 crore rupees, from 4,720 crore rupees in the second quarter of fiscal 2026. The Economic Times attributed part of the comparison to an exceptional gain of 5,200 crore rupees in the previous period’s results. Net profit was therefore affected by a high comparison base, while operating profit recorded year-on-year growth. The company said billings at its recruitment business, its largest operation, rose 12.6% year on year in the second quarter. It added that the timing of client renewals affected quarterly billings growth.
In the first half of fiscal 2027, recruitment billings rose 14.9% year on year, according to The Economic Times. In real estate, billings at the 99acres platform increased 21.2% year on year in the second quarter, compared with growth of 16.5% in the first quarter ended in June. This reflects an acceleration in the platform’s quarterly billings growth between the two quarters. In recruitment, the company said AI and data products for recruiters and job seekers now account for a high single-digit share of the business’s total revenue. The company estimated the annualized revenue rate for these products at about 240 crore rupees based on the second quarter.
Info Edge’s board approved an interim dividend of 3 rupees per share, with a face value of 2 rupees, for fiscal 2026-2027. The company set November 6, 2026, as the record date for shareholders eligible for the dividend. Dividend payments are scheduled to begin on or after November 23, 2026, according to a disclosure cited by Capital Market. The announcement came alongside results showing growth in revenue and operating profit, as well as a year-on-year decline in net profit due to the comparison effect. The record date determines shareholder eligibility, while the disclosure sets the date on which payments will begin.
