Key Facts
Info Edge reported unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, with standalone operating revenue rising to 841.7 crore rupees, up 12.8% year on year. The company said operating profit before tax increased 29.8% to 347.3 crore rupees in the second quarter of fiscal 2027. That profit margin was 41.3% of revenue, putting margin expansion and operating profit growth at the center of the period’s results. Standalone billings also rose 12.8% year on year to 822.3 crore rupees. In the first half, billings increased 13.5% to 1,559.3 crore rupees, according to the company statement.
Recruitment, the company’s largest business, was one of the performance drivers during the period. Its billings grew 12.6% in the second quarter and 14.9% in the first half, but the company said the timing of client renewals affected quarterly growth. Recruitment revenue rose 13.3% year on year in the quarter, while the business’s operating profit before tax increased 19.9%. Recruitment’s operating profit before tax margin was 59.1% in the quarter, above the overall standalone company margin of 41.3%. The differing growth rates for billings, revenue and profit reflect distinct business indicators, while the company linked quarterly billings performance to the timing of client renewals.
In real estate, 99acres billings accelerated to 21.2% growth in the second quarter, compared with 16.5% in the first quarter of fiscal 2027. Info Edge said the business generated cash from operations of 22.1 crore rupees in the quarter, compared with 2.3 crore rupees in the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2026. In matchmaking services, combined billings for Jeevansathi and Aisle rose 23.1% in the quarter and 21.7% in the first half. In the quarter, Jeevansathi billings increased 18.4%, while Aisle recorded growth of 40.0%. The figures show mixed billing drivers, with 99acres accelerating and both matchmaking businesses growing.
Standalone net profit was 3,338.97 million rupees in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared with 47,204.97 million rupees in the same period a year earlier. The comparison-period results included a gain of 52,001.12 million rupees from the revaluation of a non-current investment, according to the company’s financial results. This means the year-on-year net profit comparison includes a substantial exceptional effect in last year’s base, while operating profit before tax rose in the current quarter. Net profit therefore moved differently from the operating indicators reported by the company, including growth in operating revenue and operating profit before tax. These figures separate current-period business performance from the revaluation effect that lifted the comparison-period result.
The chief financial officer said cash generated from operations grew 27.4% in the quarter from a year earlier, describing this as reflecting the company’s continued strong cash-generation capability. On recruitment, the chief executive said AI and data products aimed at recruiters and job seekers now contribute a “high single-digit share” of the business’s revenue. He estimated the products’ revenue run rate at about 240 crore rupees a year, based on the second quarter. This figure adds an indication of new-product revenue within the recruitment business, alongside growth in its revenue and operating profit during the period. The available information in the statement did not provide a specific later date or new timeline guidance.
