Houthis Strike Aden Airport in Yemen Following Evacuation Warning

Key Facts

Houthis carried out a strike on Yemen's Aden airport after issuing a prior evacuation warning. Reuters reported that the forces targeted the international facility shortly after the warning was released, amid ongoing regional hostilities and a reported crisis involving Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

The military escalation increases the geopolitical risk premium in the region, particularly as the strike occurred near key energy transit zones. These developments raise concerns regarding the stability of regional markets and international trade flows through maritime routes adjacent to Yemen.
