Cyient reported results for the second quarter of fiscal 2027, ended September 30, 2026, with a 20.8% year-on-year increase in order inflows, according to a company statement. Consolidated revenue from operations was 22,350 million rupees, up 25.49% year on year and 7.67% from the previous quarter, according to results data reported by ICICI Direct. But consolidated net profit was 1,325 million rupees, down 7.28% from the same period last year, despite rising 21.89% quarter on quarter. The results highlight a contrast between revenue expansion and improving performance in the engineering and technology segment, and an annual decline in consolidated profit. Cyient also announced an interim dividend of 12 rupees per share, without specifying an ex-dividend date in the cited official disclosure.

In Cyient’s Engineering, Digital and Technology segment, revenue reached 1,664 crore rupees, up 8.1% quarter on quarter and 15.7% year on year. Organic revenue growth was 2.1% from the previous quarter and 9.3% year on year, according to the company statement. The segment reported earnings before interest and taxes of 237 crore rupees, with a margin of 14.2%, up 16.8% from the previous quarter. Segment net profit was 153 crore rupees, an 8.7% quarterly increase. The segment’s free cash flow was 214 crore rupees, with a 139% conversion of earnings into free cash flow.

The chief executive said Cyient recorded its highest earnings before interest and taxes in ten quarters and delivered quarterly and annual growth alongside improved predictability and profitability. The statement linked the performance to expansion in engineering and technology activity and order growth, which rose 20.8% year on year at the company level. In the technology segment specifically, order intake grew 39.7% from the year-earlier period, according to a Prabhudas Lilladher report cited by Moneycontrol. The report referred to a multi-year framework agreement with a consumer goods company, with potential value of 50 million euros annually at scale. These indicators provide context for order growth, while the disclosure did not specify when the potential agreement could convert into revenue.

The transportation and mobility segment recorded constant-currency growth of 4.5% quarter on quarter and 16.5% year on year, marking its sixth consecutive quarter of growth. In semiconductors, revenue rose 8% from the previous quarter, also marking the sixth consecutive quarter of growth. The company said research and development investments in power products for data centers are expected to begin supporting revenue in the next fiscal year. The vice chairman and managing director said defense, semiconductors and artificial intelligence represent the group’s biggest growth opportunities. The comments place specific segments at the top of management’s priorities, while revenue support from data center products remains an expected development in the next fiscal year.

At Cyient DLM, the company said the order book reached a record level and the book-to-bill ratio exceeded 1.6 times. The unit’s revenue grew more than 26.5% year on year in the quarter and more than 30% in the first half of fiscal 2027, according to the statement. The company said the higher book-to-bill ratio strengthens the unit’s future revenue visibility. At the group level, the quarter combines growth in revenue and orders with an annual decline in consolidated net profit. The ex-dividend date for the interim dividend of 12 rupees per share remains unspecified in the cited official disclosure.
