Rogers Posts Third-Quarter Sales of $236.1 Million and Adjusted Earnings of $1.39 Per Share
Key Facts
Rogers reported net sales of $236.1 million in the third quarter of 2026, an increase of 9.3%, or $20.1 million, from the same period last year. Adjusted diluted earnings per share were $1.39, compared with $0.90 in the third quarter of 2025, according to the results statement published on October 27. The company said the increase in adjusted earnings was primarily linked to strong sales and improved margins. Sales growth came mainly from the electronics, communications and automotive markets. Rogers had previously announced that results would be released after the market close on October 27 and scheduled the earnings call for 5 p.m. Eastern time.
A year-over-year comparison showed sales rising from $216.0 million in the third quarter of 2025 to $236.1 million in the same period of 2026. In the year-earlier quarter, gross margin was 33.5%, net income was $8.6 million, and adjusted diluted earnings per share were $0.90. Sales also rose 6.5% in that quarter from the previous quarter, while gross margin improved 190 basis points sequentially. Rogers said at the time that results were at the high end of its guidance range, attributing that to stronger demand in end markets and the execution of cost-improvement initiatives. In the third-quarter 2026 results, net income was $22.6 million, compared with $8.6 million a year earlier, and free cash flow rose to $35.4 million from $21.2 million.
Sales came in below analyst consensus estimates, while adjusted earnings per share beat them, according to estimates cited by StockStory via FinancialContent. Consensus sales were estimated at $238 million, above reported sales of $236.1 million. By contrast, adjusted earnings per share were estimated at $1.19, compared with the actual result of $1.39. This means the gap versus estimates went in different directions for revenue and adjusted profitability. Before the results announcement, Rogers shares closed at $127.72 on October 26, according to EL7 data.
The company said the positive currency impact added $2.4 million to sales compared with the previous year. Chief Executive Ali Haj said, "Better execution, closer customer engagement, and a more efficient operating structure continue to translate into stronger results." The company linked the increase in adjusted earnings to strong sales and improved margins, alongside the operational factors Haj cited. In the third quarter of 2025, Rogers said stronger demand and the execution of cost-reduction initiatives helped results reach the high end of its guidance range. This places the current quarter's performance in the context of the company's efforts to improve execution and costs, while sales growth remains concentrated in the electronics, communications and automotive markets.
For the next period, Rogers expects net sales of between $215 million and $225 million in the fourth quarter of 2026. It also set a gross margin range of 32.5% to 33.5% and adjusted diluted earnings per share of $0.90 to $1.10. The projected sales range is below the third-quarter sales of $236.1 million. These ranges provide a basis for tracking sales, margins and earnings per share in the coming quarter, in line with the guidance the company announced alongside its results. The earnings call was scheduled for October 27 at 5 p.m. Eastern time, with a live webcast and replay available through the Rogers website.
