Zbit Semiconductor Revenue Jumps 146.22%, Returning Company to Profit in Nine Months
Key Facts
Zbit Semiconductor reported revenue of 753.22 million yuan for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, up 146.22% year on year, and returned to profitability with net income of 201.68 million yuan, compared with a loss of 95.33 million yuan in the same period of 2025. The company disclosed the figures in its third-quarter report published on CNINFO. It said higher prices and sales of memory-chip products contributed to revenue growth amid an improving industry cycle and favorable supply shifts. The report also attributed improved profitability to higher memory-chip revenue and a higher gross profit margin. The financial results in the report are unaudited.
Third-quarter results fell short of the growth recorded over the nine-month period: revenue rose 70.78% from the third quarter of 2025 to 224.80 million yuan in the July-to-September 2026 period. Net profit attributable to the company's shareholders was 62.04 million yuan for the quarter. The figures show the company remained profitable in the latest period, with year-on-year revenue growth below the nine-month rate. The company linked overall performance to higher revenue from memory products and an improved gross profit margin. The disclosure did not cite a general improvement in operating efficiency as a reason for the return to profitability.
Basic earnings per share were 1.89 yuan for the nine months, compared with a loss of 0.89 yuan per share in the same period last year. The company noted that the comparison was recalculated following a capital increase in May 2026. The share count after the increase was 107,880,694, and the company said it recalculated earnings per share for the corresponding period using the adjusted share count. This adjustment puts the comparison between the two periods on the basis of the share count resulting from the capital increase. The shift from a loss to profit per share should therefore be read in light of the recalculation disclosed by the company.
Despite returning to profitability, operating cash flow did not keep pace with revenue growth: net cash generated from operating activities was 55.21 million yuan in the nine months, down 6.08% year on year. The movement highlights a divergence between rising sales and profits on one hand and falling operating cash on the other. Research and development spending was 72.65 million yuan, up 9.93% from the corresponding period, equivalent to 9.65% of revenue. At the end of September, total assets reached 1.608 billion yuan, up 17.91% from the end of 2025. These indicators provide additional context for the period's results alongside net profit and revenue.
The current turnaround follows 2025, when the company said in its annual report that improving industry conditions and its marketing strategy supported revenue growth and a year-on-year improvement in gross profit margin, but the margin remained relatively low and expenses were high, leaving the company loss-making. In its first-half 2026 report, the company described the memory-chip market as having entered an upswing in a new recovery cycle. It said supply and demand had tightened further as prices rose broadly, conditions it linked to revenue growth and improved profitability. In its third-quarter report, the company attributed sales growth to higher prices and sales of memory products, and linked improved profitability to higher chip revenue and a higher gross margin. The company is scheduled to hold an online meeting to explain its third-quarter results on November 11, 2026.
