Key Facts
SoFi reported results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026, with record adjusted net revenue of $1.4 billion, up 44% year over year, and GAAP net income of $241 million, according to the company’s investor relations page. Adjusted EBITDA was $470 million, up 70% year over year, with a margin of 34%. Adjusted net income was also a record $243 million, or $0.18 per share. Revenue and earnings growth coincided with an expanding customer base and lending activity. The company raised its guidance for fiscal 2026, signaling its expectation that strong performance will continue through the rest of the year.
SoFi members reached a record 17.1 million in the third quarter, up 35% from the same period a year earlier, and the company added 1.2 million members during the quarter alone. Products rose to a record 26.7 million, up 44% year over year, with 2.2 million products added during the period. The increases indicate that growth in the user base was accompanied by broader use of the company’s products. In lending, originations reached a record $16.9 billion. GAAP revenue in the lending segment rose to $821.3 million, up 66% year over year.
The results followed a second quarter in which the company reported GAAP net revenue of $1.218676 billion, up 43% year over year, and net income of $156.592 million, up 61%. Loan originations then reached a record $14.8 billion. Fee-based revenue also reached $472.3 million, equivalent to 39% of total second-quarter revenue. It included loan origination fees, SoFi technology solutions, the loan platform business, and interchange and brokerage fees. This mix provides context for third-quarter growth, as lending activity continued to rise to a new record.
SoFi raised its fiscal 2026 guidance for adjusted net revenue to $5.04 billion, adjusted EBITDA to $1.66 billion, and adjusted EPS to $0.61. In its second-quarter report, the company had forecast adjusted net revenue of between $4.75 billion and $4.85 billion, adjusted EBITDA of about $1.6 billion, and adjusted EPS of about 60 cents. The top end of its previous revenue forecast was therefore below the new guidance, while its guidance for earnings and EPS also increased. These figures are updated fiscal-year forecasts and are separate measures from the reported third-quarter GAAP net income and revenue. The company listed its third-quarter earnings call among its events on October 27, 2026.
