Séché Environnement Posts Contributive Revenue of €308.8 Million in Third Quarter
Key Facts
Séché Environnement said contributive revenue reached €308.8 million in the third quarter of 2026, up 11.4% on a reported basis and 4.6% organically from the same period in 2025. In a statement issued via Business Wire, the company said consolidated revenue was €330.2 million, compared with €295.5 million a year earlier. The consolidated figure includes €21.4 million in non-contributive revenue, compared with €18.2 million in the third quarter of 2025. The difference between reported and organic growth reflects the effect of the group’s expanded scope, while the figures showed continued growth in core activity during the quarter. The comparison highlights the importance of distinguishing between contributive and consolidated revenue when assessing the company’s performance.
By region, France posted revenue of €178.8 million, up 1.8% from the third quarter of 2025. The international scope generated €130 million, up 27.8% on a reported basis and 9.4% organically. The gap between the international growth rates points to a contribution from business expansion alongside growth in existing operations. The increase comes as the company has expanded its international presence in recent years. International subsidiaries accounted for 36% of contributive revenue in 2025, up from 32% in 2024, with strong activity in Latin America, South Africa and Italy, according to its annual results published via Euronext.
By business segment, services generated revenue of €153.6 million, up 13.1% on a reported basis and 10.5% organically. Circular economy revenue was €74.8 million, up 3.3% on a reported basis and 2.5% organically. The company attributed the strength in services to environmental emergency activity in France, strong performance at Spanish company Solarka and major service contracts in Latin America. It also said materials recovery activity in France returned to growth, supporting the circular economy segment. These drivers spread growth across emergency services, industrial services and resource recovery, while organic expansion rates remained uneven between the two segments.
By contrast, the company said its non-hazardous waste business in France remained affected by lower electricity sales. It attributed this to an industrial failure earlier in the year involving a turbine generator at a waste-to-energy plant. The factor weighed on electricity sales during the quarter, despite overall French revenue growth of 1.8%. In its 2025 results, the company reported contributive revenue of €1.152 billion, up 3.7% from 2024. But operating profit and net income fell that year: earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization declined 7% to €225 million, while group net income fell 39% to €21 million.
For the nine months ended September 30, 2026, contributive revenue was €916.6 million, compared with €857.4 million in the corresponding period of 2025. That represented a 6.9% increase on a reported basis, but organic growth was only 0.2%. The nine-month figures show reported growth remained stronger than growth in organic activity, despite an improvement in the pace of contributive revenue in the third quarter. The company reaffirmed its contributive revenue target of between €1,230 million and €1,260 million for fiscal 2026. The target includes organic growth of between 2% and 3%, as well as contributions from acquisitions completed at the start of the year.
The company said its business in France would enter the fourth quarter against a low base in the corresponding period of 2025. This puts performance in the final months of the year at the center of tracking the annual revenue target, alongside contributions from acquisitions and international growth. The 2026 outlook published with the previous year’s results targeted growth of about 2% to 3% across the historical scope of activities, in addition to the impact of acquisitions completed at the start of the year. Séché Environnement is due to report consolidated results for the year ended December 31, 2026, on March 15, 2027, after the market closes. This will allow the annual outcome to be compared with the target reaffirmed in its third-quarter update.
