Ripple announced new features on October 26, 2026, for Ripple Treasury, its platform for managing cash, liquidity and payments around the clock, expanding its tools for corporate treasury teams. The updates include an operations orchestration layer and a 24/7 Returns feature, which allows eligible customers to seek returns on eligible digital assets held in a Ripple wallet, including RLUSD. The company said the features are intended to help businesses manage cash and put eligible balances to work outside normal banking hours. Enrollment in the returns program is subject to its terms, and the announcement did not specify a return rate or how it would be calculated. Ripple presented the updates at Swell 2026, its annual conference in New York.

The new orchestration layer connects GSmart capabilities with daily treasury operations, coordinating the automation of cash positioning, forecasting, reconciliation, liquidity management and payments. Ripple said its design brings these steps together in a single workflow, giving finance teams tools to track balances and movements and execute payments. The returns feature addresses a different aspect of cash management, allowing eligible customers to put qualifying digital assets in a Ripple wallet to work. The assets mentioned include RLUSD, but the currency’s inclusion in the program does not mean every company or every balance is eligible to participate. The company did not provide a projected return, fee details or the full eligibility terms in its announcement.

Ripple said the 24/7 Returns feature targets operating funds that may otherwise remain uninvested overnight or during weekends and public holidays. The company said businesses can put eligible cash to work outside traditional banking hours without managing the underlying digital asset transactions themselves. The announcement does not describe a service that allows all company funds to be used without restrictions; participation is limited to eligible assets and customers who meet the program’s terms. The feature reflects an effort to extend treasury management tools into periods when conventional banking operations are not available at the same pace. Renat Ver Eecke, senior vice president at Ripple Treasury, said the company’s vision is to “bring treasury management, intelligence and execution together.”

Ripple framed the updates against corporate demand for more flexible cash balance management. It cited the 2026 AFP Liquidity Survey, which said 46% of organizations increased their U.S. cash balances during the previous year. The survey also found that 86% of treasury professionals said their organizations would choose money market funds if their investment policies allowed it. The company linked these findings to treasury teams’ interest in available liquidity and the ability to put it to work, but they do not show that survey respondents will use Ripple Treasury or the returns program. Ripple presented the figures as context for the launch of tools that combine automation, balance management and the possibility of earning returns.

Ripple named American Airlines, Trax, Christian Louboutin, Subway, Adecco and Kingfisher among the global businesses Ripple Treasury’s features were designed to serve. The names do not mean these companies have joined the 24/7 Returns program. Ripple Treasury’s website says American Airlines uses the platform to manage cash, forecasting, bank accounts, short-term investments and foreign exchange risk, among other solutions. According to the customer story published by the platform, the company’s visibility into global cash rose from about 65% to 99%, while accounting-entry automation increased from about 50% to 90%. The page said automation saved up to 20% of hours; those results relate to American Airlines’ experience with the treasury solutions featured in the customer story.

The feature announcement coincided with a separate announcement by Ripple on October 26 that Ripple National Trust Bank had received final approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish the bank. The approved activities include, according to the company, managing the segregated reserves backing RLUSD and providing fiduciary digital asset custody services. Ripple said RLUSD launched in December 2024 and had a market capitalization of $2.5 billion, and that BNY is the primary custodian of the reserves. Together, the two announcements place treasury products and digital currencies within Ripple’s institutional expansion, while participation in the returns program remains subject to customer and asset eligibility and the program’s terms. Swell 2026 is scheduled to take place in New York from October 27 to 29.
