PrairieSky Royalty reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of C$165.0 million, compared with C$114.8 million in the same period of 2025, according to its results statement published on October 26. Net income was C$84.5 million, or C$0.36 per share, versus C$45.9 million and C$0.20 per share a year earlier. The company said amounts in its results are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. The year-over-year comparison shows higher revenue and earnings alongside increased oil and liquids royalty production. The company’s statement did not include an analyst consensus estimate that could be used to compare earnings per share with market expectations.

Third-quarter revenue comprised C$153.4 million from royalty production and C$11.6 million from other revenue, according to the statement. Other revenue included C$7.9 million from bonuses on 49 new lease agreements. These figures reflect the contribution of leasing activity alongside production-linked royalty income. The company said funds from operations totaled C$127.9 million, or C$0.55 per share, up 42% from the third quarter of 2025. It attributed growth in the measure to higher liquids royalty production and strong U.S. dollar-denominated West Texas Intermediate prices.

Average royalty production was 26,936 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the quarter, up 1,249 barrels per day year over year, according to company data. Liquids royalty production rose 6%, with oil production up 4% to 14,739 barrels per day and natural gas liquids production up 20% to 2,647 barrels per day. PrairieSky identified the Clearwater, Mannville Stack and West Shale Duvernay areas as drivers of royalty production growth. It also said higher natural gas liquids volumes were associated with activity in the Montney and Duvernay. Average West Texas Intermediate crude was US$85.79 a barrel during the quarter, the company said in its explanation of factors supporting funds from operations.

Drilling activity on PrairieSky’s royalty lands also increased, with third-party operators drilling 230 wells in the third quarter, compared with 201 a year earlier. The average royalty rate on those wells was 6.5%, compared with 5.1% in the third quarter of 2025, according to the statement. The company declared a third-quarter dividend of C$0.265 per share, totaling C$61.6 million, equivalent to a payout ratio of 48%. These figures indicate activity adding wells to the royalty portfolio and the distributions approved by the company during the period. The company’s shares, listed under the ticker PREKF, closed at 26.18 on October 23, according to EL7 daily data.

Management said it expects leasing and drilling momentum to continue through the remainder of 2026 and into 2027, and expects royalty production in Clearwater to keep growing through 2027. The outlook sets out the time frame the company has identified for its activity and production, while remaining a management forecast. The board declared a fourth-quarter 2026 dividend of C$0.265 per share, expected to be paid on January 15, 2027, to shareholders of record on December 31, 2026. PrairieSky is scheduled to hold a call to discuss its third-quarter results on October 27, 2026, at 6:30 a.m. Mountain Time, or 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The company said momentum “will continue through the remainder of the year and into 2027.”
