Nazara posts record quarterly revenue of 803 crore rupees, up 53%
Key Facts
Nazara Technologies reported its highest quarterly revenue on record, at 803 crore rupees in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, up 53% year over year. The results cover the quarter ended September 30, 2026. In the same period, EBITDA rose 93% to 120 crore rupees. Its margin widened 311 basis points to 14.9% compared with the year-earlier period. The company said in its statement that quarterly revenue reached a record level.
Nazara returned to profitability from continuing operations, with net profit after tax of 35 crore rupees in the second quarter of fiscal 2027. The company had reported a loss of 34 crore rupees in the second quarter of the previous fiscal year. The turnaround puts net profit alongside revenue growth and a wider operating profit margin in the quarterly results. The comparison shows an improvement in profit after tax from continuing operations versus the year-earlier period. Both figures relate to continuing operations in their respective periods.
Gaming accounted for the largest share of revenue, with revenue of 656 crore rupees, up 122% year over year. The segment represented 82% of consolidated revenue in the quarter, while its EBITDA margin was 21.5%. Mobile gaming revenue rose 167% to 550 crore rupees. The figures show that mobile games made up the largest share of gaming revenue during the period, as the segment as a whole continued to expand. The company said ongoing investment in content supported organic growth at its existing gaming studios.
At existing gaming studios, revenue grew 11% organically, while EBITDA rose 17% organically, according to CEO Raymond Stover. This reflects growth in the existing business alongside the increase in gaming revenue. Stover said the company is building "a portfolio of high-quality games on a single shared platform." He added that the studios benefit from shared centers of excellence in marketing, data, product and AI-enabled technology. The company linked growth at existing studios to its content investments.
For the first half of fiscal 2027, revenue rose 20% to 1,232 crore rupees. EBITDA also increased 52% to 166 crore rupees. First-half growth was slower than the second quarter's year-over-year revenue growth, while operating profit growth remained strong in the first half. The second-quarter results include gaming revenue alongside the company's other activities. The available statement did not include a subsequent date related to these results.
