Kirloskar Pneumatic Posts Quarterly Profit of 40 Crore Rupees Amid Shipment Delays
Key Facts
Kirloskar Pneumatic posted net profit after tax of 40 crore rupees in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, according to company results reported by TradeAlone. Revenue from operations was 320 crore rupees in the same period. The company faced delays in export clearance and shipping orders, Managing Director Aman Kirloskar said. He attributed the delays to geopolitical tensions and shipping disruptions. These conditions “directly affected the timing of export clearance and shipments,” Kirloskar said, delaying the completion of some orders.
Results for the first half of fiscal 2027 show lower profitability than in the corresponding period a year earlier. Profit before tax was 85 crore rupees, compared with 94 crore rupees in the first half of fiscal 2026. The profit-before-tax margin fell to 13.4% from 14.1% in the comparable period. Total income was 620 crore rupees in the first half, compared with 650 crore rupees a year earlier. The figures indicate that weaker income and profitability extended across the first six months, while management attributed some of the timing of delayed orders and shipments to trade and transport disruptions.
By contrast, the order book stood at 2,040 crore rupees on 1 October 2026, up 10% from 1,863 crore rupees at the start of the fiscal year. The figure indicates the volume of business booked by the company, but comes alongside delays in completing some orders because of clearance and shipment delays. Aman Kirloskar said geopolitical tensions and shipping disruptions directly affected export schedules. The impact of the larger order book therefore depends on the timing of order completion and shipment, given the operational challenge described by the managing director. The contrast between the larger order book and weaker first-half results puts the conversion of orders into shipments and revenue at the center of monitoring the company's performance.
Crisil said on 5 May 2026 that the company's revenue rose 11% year on year in fiscal 2026, following growth of 22% in fiscal 2025. In the same report, the agency projected revenue growth of between 17% and 18% in fiscal 2027, followed by between 12% and 13% over the medium term. Crisil linked its projections to entry into new segments and product launches, alongside replacement demand and growth in end-user industries. Those estimates were issued by the agency in May, while the current first-half results show declines in total income and profit before tax against the corresponding period. Among the next indicators cited by the company is its order book as of 1 October, alongside monitoring the effect of delayed clearance and shipments on order execution.
