Hawkins reported sales of $313.8 million in the second quarter of its fiscal 2027, up 12% from the same period, with organic growth of 11%, according to the company’s results. Net income rose to $27.8 million, or $1.34 per diluted share, compared with $22.6 million and $1.08 per share a year earlier. Chief Executive Patrick Hawkins said revenue grew 12%, including organic growth of 11%. He added that water treatment sales rose 16%, driven mainly by higher volumes. The results highlight the segment’s contribution to the company’s growth during the quarter, alongside year-over-year improvement in net income and earnings per share.

Hawkins’ water treatment sales were $175.0 million, compared with $150.9 million in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, while the segment’s organic sales rose 14%. The figures align with Hawkins’ explanation that higher volumes drove revenue growth in the segment, which outpaced the company’s overall sales growth. On dividends, the company announced a payment of $0.20 per share, up from $0.19 per share in the same period a year earlier. Looking ahead, Hawkins said it expects second-half trends to be similar to those seen in the first half. At the same time, it cautioned that a one-time $6.2 million reduction in administrative expenses in the second half of fiscal 2026 would not recur, making that a factor in comparisons for subsequent results.

In semiconductors, Amkor posted record revenue in its computing and automotive and industrial businesses, while continuing to expand margins despite expecting weakness in communications, Chief Executive Kevin Engel said. Its gross margin rose to 18.3% in the third quarter of 2026, from 14.3% in the same period a year earlier. Operating income also increased to $225 million, from $159 million a year earlier. Engel said that “record revenue in computing and automotive and industrial, alongside continued margin expansion despite expected weakness in communications,” supported the quarter’s performance. The indicators combine strength in demand in some of the company’s markets with improved margins, while communications remains an expected weak spot in the outlook.

Amkor had about $2.4 billion in cash and short-term investments as of September 30, 2026, and bought about $32 million of common stock during the third quarter. It updated its fiscal 2026 capital expenditure forecast to about $2.5 billion. For the fourth quarter of 2026, it expects sales of between $1.9 billion and $2.0 billion, a gross margin of between 18.0% and 19.0%, and diluted earnings of between $0.65 and $0.75 per share. The outlook allows comparison of revenue and margin trends with third-quarter performance, while taking expected capital spending into account. The company held its third-quarter earnings call on October 26, 2026, at 5 p.m. Eastern time.

For Sun Communities, second-quarter 2026 data showed net income from continuing operations improving to $42.3 million, or $0.32 per diluted share, compared with a loss of $30.0 million and $0.74 per share a year earlier. Operationally, same-property net operating income rose 6.0% that quarter, driven by strength in manufactured housing, and combined adjusted occupancy for manufactured housing and recreational vehicles was 98.8%. These prior results provide context for the company’s operating performance ahead of the third-quarter results referenced in the news headline. Sun Communities shares closed at $120.24 on October 23, 2026, while Hawkins shares closed at $132.32 on the same day. The data provided do not include a closing price for Amkor shares on that date.
