U.S. spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds recorded net outflows of $88.6 million on October 26, 2026, as withdrawals from ETHA exceeded inflows into FETH, according to Farside Investors’ table. A total of $104.7 million left ETHA, while $16.1 million flowed into FETH. Inflows to the latter fund softened the impact of the larger withdrawal but did not prevent the session from closing with a net loss. The result followed a modestly positive session on October 23 and came amid days with mixed flow directions. The breakdown of the October 26 figures shows that fund activity was not uniform across products.

The funds had recorded net inflows of $4.4 million on October 23, following net outflows of $110.6 million the previous day. The October 22 total included $75.5 million in outflows from ETHA and $17.2 million from ETHB, according to Farside data. On October 21, net inflows reached $14.9 million despite $29.3 million leaving ETHA. A day earlier, the funds recorded net outflows of $26.1 million. Net outflows on October 19 totaled $103.3 million, including $95.4 million from ETHA. These sessions show that the group’s net direction can differ from the movement of its largest fund when inflows to other products offset some of the withdrawals.

The outflow streak extended to other October sessions: from October 8 to 16, the funds recorded net outflows on every trading day shown, with the largest at $129.5 million on October 14. By contrast, cumulative net flows for the funds stood at $12.659 billion through October 26, according to Farside’s displayed total. That places the latest session within a month that saw consecutive days of withdrawals alongside sessions in which flows returned to positive territory. Daily net flows measure money moving into and out of the funds, while the cumulative total shows the net result since the start of the displayed record. Neither alone describes the asset’s price movement in any given session.

In the market, Ethereum closed at $2,324.55 on October 26, compared with a close of $2,387.6 on October 23, according to EL7 data. BlackRock shares closed at $1,127.66 on October 26. Investing.com data put Ethereum at $2,324.44 on October 26, down 0.21% on the day, versus $2,387.41 on October 23. The closing prices reported by EL7 and Investing.com differ slightly, but both show a lower level on October 26 than on October 23. The price decline between the two dates coincided with fund net flows returning to negative territory in the latest session. The flow and price data do not attribute the move to a specific cause.

The regulatory backdrop for the structure of these products dates to July 29, 2025, when the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved allowing in-kind creation and redemption of shares in crypto asset exchange-traded products. Newly approved spot Bitcoin and Ether products had previously been limited to cash creation and redemption, according to the SEC. SEC Chair Paul Atkins said investors would benefit from the approvals because they make the products less costly and more efficient. Trading and Markets Division Director Jamie Selway added that the in-kind mechanism provides flexibility and lowers costs for product issuers, authorized participants and investors. The decision concerns how product units are created and redeemed, while Farside’s figures reflect the recorded daily net flows for each fund.

Near-term attention is focused on the Federal Open Market Committee meeting scheduled for October 27 and 28, with a press conference on October 28, according to the Federal Reserve calendar. The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis is scheduled to release its September personal income and spending report on October 29 at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The report includes the Personal Consumption Expenditures price index; in the August release, the index rose 0.3% month over month and 3.4% year over year. The index excluding food and energy rose 0.2% month over month and 3.0% year over year. The meeting and report dates mark the next economic events after Ethereum funds’ outflow session on October 26.
