INNIO raised its 2026 financial outlook after third-quarter net income jumped 176% to $109.2 million, compared with $39.5 million in the same period last year, according to a company statement issued on October 27. Net sales reached $1,167.9 million, up from $742.7 million, marking the first quarter in which the company’s revenue exceeded $1 billion. Diluted earnings per share also rose to $0.15 from $0.05. The results reflect an expansion in equipment and services sales, alongside improved adjusted profitability. Net income declined over the first nine months, however, highlighting the difference between the quarter and performance since the start of the year.

The company raised its fiscal 2026 revenue range to $3.9–4.0 billion, from $3.8–3.9 billion in its previous guidance. It also raised its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization range to $780–800 million, compared with $720–740 million previously. INNIO said the revision raises the respective upper ends of its previous guidance by $100 million for revenue and $60 million for adjusted earnings. The update coincided with rising orders and faster equipment sales during the quarter. The new guidance puts management’s expectations for the rest of the year above its previous estimates.

Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were $245.4 million for the quarter, compared with $144.2 million a year earlier, and the margin rose to 21% from 19.4%. Equipment revenue climbed to $777.6 million from $417.4 million, while services revenue increased to $390.3 million from $325.3 million. The comparison shows equipment growth outpaced services growth, with revenue rising in both businesses. Chief Financial Officer Dennis Schulze said, "Equipment margins improved again this quarter as deliveries increased, while services continued to deliver strong profitability." The quarter’s performance thus combined expanded equipment deliveries with continued growth in services.

Equipment orders rose to $2,175.9 million in the third quarter, compared with $1,975.2 million in the same period of 2025. In the first nine months, orders reached $6,083.8 million, up from $3,178.4 million a year earlier. Chief Executive Officer Olaf Berlien said equipment orders since the start of the year had exceeded $6 billion and that the company was expanding capacity to keep pace with accelerating demand, "particularly for AI infrastructure." The figures show an increase in orders flowing to the company during the year, while Berlien linked the capacity expansion to meeting demand. The statement does not specify a later date for the annual results.

The order growth followed the company’s October 22 announcement of a 620-megawatt follow-on order from a developer and operator of hyperscale data center campuses in the United States. Together with a previous 1.1-gigawatt order, the customer’s cumulative orders rose to about 1.72 gigawatts. The customer also signed a long-term full maintenance agreement covering the first 500 megawatts of previously ordered capacity. The agreement covers spare parts and labor through a major engine overhaul. The arrangement combines equipment supply with services extending beyond delivery, alongside growth in quarterly services revenue.

On August 19, INNIO announced plans to invest more than $300 million in its facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and create more than 500 jobs over the coming years. The plan includes new engine assembly capabilities and a testing facility covering more than 80,000 square feet. The investment comes amid the capacity expansion Berlien said the company is undertaking to meet demand, particularly for AI infrastructure. The first nine months’ results show another side of the picture: net income was $83.3 million, compared with $136.9 million a year earlier. The company said the period included $93.6 million in IPO and public company readiness costs, while net cash provided by operating activities was $741.5 million, compared with $309.4 million in the same period.
