Key Facts
Sobi reported hematology revenue of SEK 6,171 million in the third quarter of 2026, up 29% at constant exchange rates, driven by stronger sales of Altuvoct and Doptelet. The company said Altuvoct sales were SEK 1,729 million, compared with SEK 769 million in the same period a year earlier. Doptelet sales were SEK 1,829 million, compared with SEK 1,408 million a year earlier. The results showed an adjusted EBITA margin of 45%, compared with 47% in the third quarter of 2025. EBITA also rose to SEK 3,990 million from SEK 3,620 million. CEO Guido Oelkers said the company had delivered "another strong quarter" as its product portfolio continued to grow, launches advanced and access to rare disease treatments expanded.
Hematology growth followed a 27% increase in segment revenue at constant exchange rates in the second quarter, to SEK 5,726 million. Altuvoct sales then were SEK 1,554 million, while Doptelet recorded sales of SEK 1,628 million. Compared with the previous quarter, sales of the two drugs rose in the third quarter to SEK 1,729 million and SEK 1,829 million, respectively. Revenue growth accelerated to 29% in the third quarter from 27% in the second quarter, according to figures released by the company. In its second-quarter update, Sobi said a positive reading from the study of gout drug pozdeutinurad was an important milestone and supported its upcoming launch pipeline. It said at the time that this strengthened confidence in continued progress through 2026 and beyond.
Operating cash flow was SEK 1,871 million in the third quarter, compared with SEK 1,840 million in the same period a year earlier. This reflects a modest increase from the cash flow level a year earlier, alongside growth in hematology revenue. On management, Sobi announced that Oelkers will step down as CEO no later than the end of January 2027. The company also said that, after the quarter ended, Tryngolza received a positive opinion from the European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use for the treatment of severe hypertriglyceridemia in Europe. The company set 4 February 2027 as the date for publishing its fourth-quarter 2026 report.
