Fraport Posts Preliminary Q3 EBITDA of €595 Million, Beating Consensus
Key Facts
Fraport said preliminary group EBITDA came to about €595 million in the third quarter of 2026, beating analyst consensus of about €574 million, according to figures reported by Reuters via Onvista. EBIT also came to about €407 million in the July-to-September period, compared with consensus just below €389 million. Reuters said the EBIT result exceeded expectations by about 5%. The company attributed the positive deviation mainly to the effect of selling its stake in Medical Airport Service (MAS). The transaction added about €24 million to operating results in the quarter.
The gap between the preliminary results and analyst consensus points to performance above estimates for both EBITDA and EBIT, but the figures announced by the company do not include year-on-year comparisons for either measure. The transaction’s effect of about €24 million explains part of the operating result, but on its own does not establish that the improvement came from recurring growth in the group’s business. The published figures did not include net profit, so the comparison remains limited to the two operating measures reported by the company. Fraport had owned half of MAS before the divestment. The company provides occupational medicine, workplace safety and corporate health management services, according to Reuters via Onvista.
Fraport left its financial guidance for fiscal year 2026 unchanged, excluding the effect of the one-off sale, Reuters reported, citing the company’s announcement. After its first-half results, the company said it expected passenger numbers at Frankfurt Airport to remain near the prior year’s level, at about 63.2 million passengers in 2026. It attributed that outlook to strikes, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and reduced airline capacity. At group level, Fraport expected annual EBITDA to be higher than the previous year, reaching about €1.5 billion. Group EBITDA was €1.44 billion in 2025, according to the first-half results statement.
Fraport plans to publish its interim report for the third quarter and first nine months of 2026 on November 4, according to its financial calendar. The report is expected to provide the scheduled interim figures for the period, following the announcement of preliminary estimates that exceeded analyst consensus. The effect of the sale of the MAS stake, at about €24 million, remains part of the quarter’s results alongside the reported operating measures. The company left its annual guidance unchanged, excluding the one-off transaction’s effect. The outlook published after the first half covers passenger traffic in Frankfurt and group EBITDA for the fiscal year.
