Acousti expands critical infrastructure business after sales grow 6.8% in 2026
Key Facts
Acousti announced an agreement to acquire Parametrix, expanding its portfolio of critical infrastructure and data center monitoring systems. The target company’s capabilities include leak detection, environmental monitoring and battery health monitoring on a unified platform. Parametrix said its solutions target high-density data centers and direct liquid cooling systems. Upon closing, Parametrix will become part of Dystek Controls, a subsidiary of Acousti’s Intelligent Spaces segment. Acousti expects to close the agreement in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, with the deal contributing to adjusted diluted earnings per share for the full fiscal year.
Parametrix brings together RLE Technologies’ expertise in facility monitoring and leak detection with NDSL’s expertise in battery monitoring. This combination enables monitoring of multiple aspects of critical infrastructure through a single platform. The company says its tools detect leaks, temperature changes and DC power failures. Parametrix links these capabilities to the needs of high-density data centers and direct liquid cooling. Adding the company to Dystek Controls’ operations would broaden the monitoring solutions offered in Acousti’s Intelligent Spaces segment.
Parametrix’s products include the YNG-MGR Version 2 platform, which the company says automatically identifies up to 250 sensors at startup. Wireless connectivity reaches up to 600 feet, according to the company. Battery life reaches 12 years. These specifications support the deployment of sensors to monitor leaks, environmental conditions and batteries at facilities. Parametrix says the platform helps detect temperature changes and DC power failures alongside small leaks.
The deal follows growth in Acousti’s business during the fiscal year ended August 31, 2026. Net sales totaled $4.64 billion, up 6.8% from the previous year, according to the company’s annual report. Acousti attributed the increase mainly to higher sales in its Intelligent Spaces segment. The acquisition of QSC and higher Dystek sales contributed in part. This performance places Parametrix’s expansion within a segment that recorded growth over the same period, while the company expects the deal to begin contributing to adjusted diluted earnings per share during fiscal 2027.
