EQX Labs is outlining plans to offer 11 tokenized stock and ETF markets on Hyperliquid, including major companies such as SpaceX, expanding spot trading in tokenized assets. The official materials reviewed did not confirm a specific trading start date; EQX’s page describes the launch as “soon.” Those materials therefore do not substantiate the date and time given in the previous draft. The project comes amid a wave of traditional financial assets being listed in tokenized form on blockchain-based trading infrastructure.

EQX says each token is backed one-to-one by shares held at StoneX, Clear Street and Alpaca. The company adds that the tokens are matched to the shares daily and that the match can be verified. But this backing does not mean a token holder owns the share itself; the company describes the tokens as unsecured, limited-recourse debt instruments issued by the issuer and backed by shares. EQX explicitly says the tokens “are not shares.” In-kind redemption is available only to eligible institutional participants, according to the company’s product description.

This legal structure distinguishes economic exposure to a listed stock from direct ownership of a stake in the company. The token is backed by shares held with custodians, while its holder remains a limited-recourse creditor of the issuer, according to EQX’s description. Listing well-known company names among the markets therefore does not change the nature of the rights a trader receives. The company says share backing and daily matching form the basis of the product, while holding a token in itself does not confer shareholder rights. The in-kind redemption option is limited to an eligible institutional class, not all token holders.

The eligibility restrictions set out in EQX’s documents include U.S. persons and people located in the United States, as well as residents of the British Virgin Islands and sanctioned persons. The restrictions therefore go beyond the geographic prohibition in the previous draft. The materials provided no further details on how eligibility is verified or on account-opening procedures. These limits remain part of the terms for accessing the proposed markets. The company has not announced a trading start date in the materials reviewed.

Spot markets for five tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs were previously made available on Hyperliquid on August 10, 2026, according to an announcement by Payward, which said more assets would be added later. EQX’s plans to offer 11 markets place them within the broader expansion of traditional assets available on the platform. On the regulatory front, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced temporary, conditional relief for certain tokenized stock trading platforms on September 17, 2026, and sought public comment. SEC staff guidance published on October 20 then said a tokenized securities platform must publish a notice at least 30 calendar days before beginning operations. The launch date for EQX markets remains the outstanding detail; the official page still says trading will begin “soon.”
