Key Facts
Nestlé India said product sales reached 6,782.17 crore rupees in the quarter from July to September of fiscal 2026-2027, up 20.45% year on year from 5,630.23 crore rupees in the same period. Chairman and Managing Director Manish Tiwary said total sales reached 6,782.2 crore rupees, supported by strong double-digit volume growth. He added that growth was broad-based across product groups. The unaudited results cover the second quarter and first half of the fiscal year ended September 30, 2026. The performance puts sales growth at the forefront of the company's quarterly results.
Domestic sales were at the heart of the increase, rising 20.4% to 6,514.74 crore rupees from 5,411.02 crore rupees a year earlier. Export revenue also rose 22% to 267.43 crore rupees. Revenue from operations came to 6,788.3 crore rupees, up 20.3% from the year-earlier period. That figure exceeded Bloomberg's estimate of 6,717 crore rupees. The indicators show that growth in the business in India was accompanied by an expansion in exports during the quarter.
The EBITDA margin improved to 23.8% from 21.8% in the year-earlier period. Management described the margin as healthy and said the company continued to focus on operational efficiency and investment in its brands. Advertising and marketing spending rose 46%, as part of increased investment that the company said it directed toward its brands. Overall expenses, meanwhile, increased 17% to 5,405.55 crore rupees during the quarter. Tiwary said, "High inflation, particularly food inflation, is a reality," adding that the company would focus on innovation, brand investment and productivity to address commodity cost pressures.
A Reuters report linked quarterly profit growth to resilient demand for Maggi instant noodles and Nescafé coffee, as Indian consumer goods companies face pressure from input costs, particularly packaging, oils and agricultural commodities. In trading on October 15, Nestlé India's shares fell 9% to an intraday low of 1,260 rupees after the results were announced, then pared losses to a 4% decline at 1,329 rupees by 12:55 p.m. In EL7 data, NSRGY shares closed at 101.21 dollars on October 23, 2026. That announcement concerned global Nestlé, while the quarterly results cover the sales and operating performance of Nestlé India.
