JK Cement Revenue Jumps 23.7% to 3,733 Crore Rupees in Second Quarter
Key Facts
JK Cement reported a 23.7% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations to 3,733 crore rupees in the July-September 2026 quarter, compared with 3,019 crore rupees in the corresponding period of 2025, according to results reported by NDTV Profit. EBITDA rose to 507 crore rupees from 447 crore rupees a year earlier, a growth of 13.6%. But the EBITDA margin fell to 13.6% from 14.8%, putting sales and operating-profit growth against a decline in margins. The figures thus showed revenue expanding alongside pressure on operating profitability. Separately, the board approved a new water-based paint facility in Telangana.
The facility will be built in Raghunathapalem, in Telangana's Suryapet district, with annual production capacity of 75,000 kilolitres, according to NDTV Profit. The project's estimated capital expenditure is 130 crore rupees. The company said in its disclosure that the investment would be funded from the previously approved 600 crore rupees allocation for its paint business, placing the project within an investment framework already approved by the board. JK Maxx Paints, a wholly owned subsidiary of JK Cement, will execute the facility. The project will thus add new manufacturing capacity to the group's paint business alongside its existing facility in Rajasthan.
JK Maxx Paints currently operates a plant in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, with installed capacity of 73,000 kilolitres a year and utilisation of 60%, according to NDTV Profit. JK Cement says the plant is expected to reach full capacity by fiscal 2028. The Telangana facility announcement comes while the Bhiwadi plant remains below full capacity utilisation, according to the available figures. The company links the new expansion to its paint business plan as it continues to increase existing capacity ahead of its target. The Telangana facility is expected to begin operations about 12 months after construction starts, according to the company's estimate.
JK Cement announced that a call to discuss its second-quarter and first-half results for the period ended September 30, 2026, will be held on October 27, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. India time. The date follows the results announcement and approval of the new plant project. The call will cover performance in the quarter and first half, according to the company's notice. The facility's start-up timing remains tied to the start of construction, with the company estimating a period of about 12 months from the start of work. The available information did not include details of market reaction to the results or the plant announcement.
