U.S. Century Financial Holdings said net income was $9.5 million in the third quarter of 2026, compared with $8.9 million in the same period last year. Diluted earnings per share rose to $0.51 from $0.45. The company said quarterly net income was the highest since its 2021 initial public offering. Net income for the first nine months of the year was $28.0 million. The results put higher earnings alongside an annual improvement in net interest margin, as deposits continued to decline compared with the end of September a year earlier.

Net interest margin rose to 3.37% in the third quarter, compared with 3.14% a year earlier. Net interest income before provision for credit losses also increased 14.2% year over year to $24.3 million. The margin measures returns from lending and investment against funding costs, while the growth in interest income shows that this line supported the period's results. But the year-over-year comparison in the margin does not mean the improvement continued at the same pace in the more recent period; management's guidance for the fourth quarter was described as near the third-quarter level. The key comparison is that earnings reached a quarterly record, while funding growth in assets and loans remains tied to the bank's ability to attract deposits.

The company's assets totaled $3.0 billion on September 30, up $243.5 million, or 8.8%, year over year. Loans held for investment reached $2.3 billion, an increase of $191.1 million, or 9.0%, year over year. Deposits, by contrast, were $2.4 billion, down $9.3 million, or 0.4%, from their level a year earlier. The divergence shows assets and loans expanding alongside a slight annual decline in the deposit base.

Credit indicators included an increase in nonperforming loans to $7.7 million at the end of September, or 0.33% of total loans. Those loans stood at $1.3 million, or 0.06%, in the comparable period of 2025. The figures come as loans held for investment rose 9.0% year over year to $2.3 billion. The bank had scheduled a call to discuss the results for October 23, 2026, at 11 a.m. Eastern time, with a live webcast and a recording to be archived later. These indicators provide context for reading earnings and margin growth alongside credit and funding trends.

The following week's schedule includes a Federal Open Market Committee meeting on October 27 and 28. The Federal Reserve's calendar lists a press conference on October 28 at 2:30 p.m. The public calendar does not explicitly describe the event as an interest-rate decision announcement. A day after the meeting, the Bureau of Economic Analysis is scheduled to release its advance estimate of U.S. gross domestic product for the third quarter on October 29 at 8:30 a.m. The sequence of dates places the bank's results within a week combining a monetary policy meeting and a major economic release.
