Pathos Announces Oncology and Neuroscience Partnerships With Tempus After Its Latest Funding in 2025
Key Facts
Tempus announced on October 23, 2026, a series of agreements with Bristol Myers Squibb and Pathos AI to expand the use of multimodal oncology data, data analysis tools and models, alongside a neuroscience data license to Pathos as part of its collaboration with Bristol Myers Squibb. The agreements place Pathos’s platform within operational arrangements for drug development and data use, according to a Tempus statement. The oncology agreement includes Bristol Myers Squibb’s use of de-identified Tempus data through Pathos’s Foundry platform. The neuroscience agreement includes Tempus’s efforts to deliver and license patient records to Pathos. A report of a new Pathos funding round, its amount, lead investor or company valuation could not be verified from an open source.
Tempus expects total cash payments under the oncology and neuroscience agreements to reach 192.5 million dollars over about five years. The oncology agreement sets total fixed payments of 137.5 million dollars, payable by Bristol Myers Squibb to Tempus over the term of the agreement. The oncology agreement expires on December 31, 2031. The agreement includes a license to records from Tempus’s oncology dataset and access to its Lens software, with a scope that allows Bristol Myers Squibb to use the data with the Foundry platform. The announced use of the platform is therefore tied to licensed data and a specific commercial agreement between the parties.
In the neuroscience track, Tempus will use commercially reasonable efforts to deliver and license to Pathos 500,000 de-identified records of patients with Alzheimer’s disease or specified neurological conditions. The agreement provides for a rate of 100,000 records annually over its five-year term. Pathos will pay Tempus cash fees of up to 55 million dollars under the arrangement. Of that amount, 50 million dollars is for the data license, calculated at 100 dollars per record delivered, while 5 million dollars is allocated for access to record updates. This represents part of the commercial commitments accompanying the expanded collaboration on neuroscience data.
The latest funding that could be verified on Pathos’s website was the Series D round the company announced in May 2025, worth 365 million dollars, at a post-money valuation of about 1.6 billion dollars. Pathos said at the time that the proceeds would support advancing its clinical pipeline and continued investment in its AI foundation model designed for oncology. The company describes itself as a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing an engine for precision oncology therapeutics based on multimodal data, biological modeling and pharmaceutical company partnerships. In August 2026, Pathos announced a global licensing agreement with Alphamab Oncology for JSKN016, a TROP2/HER3-targeting bispecific antibody-drug conjugate. These milestones provide documented context for the company’s activity in funding oncology research and expanding asset licenses, while the report of its latest funding round remains unverified.
