LKQ to Report Third-Quarter Results on Oct. 29 After Cutting Annual Forecast
Key Facts
LKQ has set Thursday, October 29, as the date for reporting its financial results for the third quarter of 2026, according to an investor relations announcement. The company will hold an investor call and webcast the same day at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time to discuss the results with senior management. The date follows second-quarter results showing declines in revenue and adjusted earnings per share compared with the same period a year earlier. The company also cut its annual earnings and organic revenue growth forecasts amid weakness in its European business. October’s results will therefore provide a fresh indication of the company’s performance after those revisions, while the strategic review LKQ announced in July remains ongoing with no set timetable.
LKQ reported second-quarter revenue of 3.4 billion dollars, down 3.0% from 3.5 billion dollars in the same quarter of 2025, according to the company’s statement. Adjusted diluted earnings per share fell to 0.67 dollars, compared with 0.84 dollars in the same period a year earlier. Management lowered its 2026 adjusted earnings forecast to a range of 2.60 to 2.90 dollars per share, from 2.90 to 3.20 dollars. It also cut its forecast for organic revenue growth in parts and services from a range of (0.5%) to 1.5% to a range of (3.0%) to (1.0%). The revisions point to a weaker annual trajectory than the company had expected, making the comparison between third-quarter results and the new forecasts a key focus when they are released.
Regional performance was mixed in the second quarter: organic revenue fell 12.6% year over year in Europe, while rising 0.5% in North America and 4.5% in the Specialty segment. The company said Europe performed below expectations and results were affected by the implementation of an enterprise resource planning system in Germany. By contrast, North America returned to positive organic growth for the first time in nine quarters, supported by record aftermarket parts usage exceeding 40%. Chief Executive Justin Judd said North America had returned to positive growth after that period, while Europe remained below expectations and was affected by the system implementation in Germany. The divergence shows that improvement in North America offset pressure in Europe, although the company lowered its full-year forecast for total organic revenue in parts and services.
Chief Financial Officer Rick Galloway said the revised forecast reflects “a more cautious pace of recovery in Europe.” Ongoing measures in the region are focused on restoring service levels and aligning costs with current demand, according to the company’s statement. On liquidity, cash flow from operations was 111 million dollars and free cash flow was 60 million dollars in the second quarter of 2026. As of June 30, total debt was 4.0 billion dollars. The company also lowered its 2026 operating cash flow forecast to a range of 825 million to 1,025 million dollars, and its free cash flow forecast to a range of 625 million to 775 million dollars. These figures put the revised liquidity outlook alongside the company’s updated operating and annual earnings forecasts.
In July, LKQ said its strategic alternatives review, which includes a sale of the company, remained active and that it was continuing to work with multiple parties. The company added that the review “has no deadline or set timetable,” according to its second-quarter results statement. The company’s update on the review dates to July, and the October results announcement does not include a further update. LKQ is preparing to report third-quarter results on October 29, followed by discussion during the call and webcast at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time. The results will come after cuts to its earnings and organic revenue forecasts, as the company describes Europe’s recovery as slower and more cautious.
