Integra produces 17,652 ounces of gold at Florida Canyon, up 8% quarter on quarter
Key Facts
Integra Resources said in a statement issued on 22 October 2026 that its Florida Canyon mine produced 17,652 ounces of gold in the third quarter, extending production gains over earlier quarters of the year. The company said output rose 8% from the second quarter as it expanded ore mining and placement on leach pads. Production was up 40% from the first quarter, showing a larger increase from the start of the year than the quarter-on-quarter gain. Integra had reported production of 16,379 ounces of gold in its second-quarter results, the output level preceding the mine's latest operational update. Second-quarter production was below the 18,087 ounces recorded in the same period of 2025, according to the earlier results statement, while the growth rates in the October update compare quarters of 2026.
On operations, Integra said ore mined increased 21% in the third quarter from the previous quarter, alongside growth in gold production over the same period. Ore placed on leach pads rose 25% quarter on quarter, outpacing the increase in ore mined. Total material mined averaged 97,428 tonnes per day, a mining rate the company described as a record for the third quarter. Mining activity had also expanded in the second quarter, when the company attributed record rates to the integration of new mining equipment into its fleet over the preceding quarters and shorter haul distances, according to a statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Despite higher ore volumes and production, the combined gold recovery rate fell to 52.5% in the third quarter, according to the operational update. The company attributed the decline in recovery to an increase in uncrushed ore, which has a lower gold recovery rate than crushed ore. It described this ore as having a "lower expected recovery rate," linking the decline in combined recovery to a change in the mix of ore placed on leach pads.
On finances, preliminary figures in Integra's update showed cash and cash equivalents of US$119.464 million at the period-end on 30 September 2026. The company compared this cash position with a previous balance of US$111.1 million on 30 June, as reported in its second-quarter results, putting the end-September balance above its level at the end of the previous period. In trading linked to the second-quarter results, Investing reported in coverage published in August that Integra shares rose 6.09% during the session covered. The share price cited in that coverage was US$3.83, as it discussed the company's second-quarter operating and financial results. That move preceded the third-quarter production announcement issued in October, having been linked to coverage of the previous period's results in August.
Florida Canyon's cumulative production totalled 46,666 ounces of gold in the nine months ended September 2026, according to the company, as the year entered its final period following third-quarter production growth. Integra maintained its annual production target of 70,000 to 75,000 ounces of gold for 2026, the range it continued to target in its latest operational update. The company scheduled its results conference call for 12 November 2026, its next announced presentation of results after the production statement. For the DeLamar project, Integra said in a separate update that it expects the environmental impact statement and regulatory decision in the second half of 2027, under the project's announced timetable. It added that a final investment decision would follow the issuance of both documents, placing this subsequent step in DeLamar's development after the expected regulatory stage.
