Compagnie du Cambodge Approves Exceptional Advance of €789 Million and €13 per Share
Key Facts
Compagnie du Cambodge decided to pay an exceptional advance of €13 per share, totaling nearly €789 million, according to a company statement published on 18 September 2026. The company said payment would begin on 7 October 2026. The move is part of a series of exceptional distributions across the Bolloré group, after Bolloré SE distributed €4.2 billion in June 2026. Compagnie de l’Odet later decided on an exceptional advance of €2.5 billion, with payment scheduled for 29 September 2026. The company estimated that Bolloré and its subsidiaries would receive about €2 billion from these distributions.
The payment is part of separate decisions taken by subsidiaries in the group, rather than a joint distribution among the companies. Société Industrielle et Financière de l’Artois decided on a separate advance of €650 per share, totaling €173 million, to be paid on 7 October 2026. Compagnie de l’Odet’s statement named Compagnie du Cambodge, Financière Moncey and Société Industrielle et Financière de l’Artois among the subsidiaries involved in the distribution series. At the end of June 2026, Compagnie du Cambodge owned 64.74% of Financière Moncey. It also owned 68.95% of La Forestière Equatoriale and 47.59% of IER.
The distribution decision coincided with mixed first-half performance at the company. Consolidated revenue rose to €70 million from €66.2 million in the corresponding period of 2025. The company attributed the increase mainly to revenue growth at the IER group. Net profit, by contrast, fell to €20 million from €26.2 million a year earlier. Net profit attributable to the group declined to €16 million from €20.7 million in the first half of 2025.
On the balance sheet, equity increased by €331 million during the first half, reaching €6,787.1 million on 30 June 2026. The company attributed the increase mainly to changes in the fair value of its investments. The investments cited included Compagnie de l’Odet, Financière V and Plantations des Terres Rouges. These figures provide financial context alongside the exceptional advance decision, which followed distributions by the parent group. The subsidiary Artois, meanwhile, announced its separate advance of €650 per share on the same payment schedule.
Compagnie du Cambodge’s official website set 5 October 2026 as the ex-dividend date and 6 October as the record date. It set payment for 7 October, the date also given in the company statement. The company’s shares, listed under the symbol CBDG.PA, closed at €95 on 16, 19 and 20 October. They then closed at €93.5 on 21 and 22 October 2026. The closing price thus held at €93.5 on the last two days of available data, after standing at €95 on the previous three trading days.
