Addnode Group rises to SEK 250 million in the third quarter
Key Facts
Addnode Group reported that third-quarter 2026 earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose to SEK 250 million, compared with SEK 149 million in the same period last year. The margin on this measure increased to 17.4% from 11.4%, according to the company's interim report. Quarterly sales also rose 10% to SEK 1,438 million, from SEK 1,311 million, while organic growth was 3%. Net profit climbed to SEK 109 million from SEK 54 million, and earnings per share rose to SEK 0.80 from SEK 0.40. The company attributed the improvement in earnings to organic growth, acquisitions and improved efficiency.
The year-on-year comparison requires taking into account the timing of Autodesk agreement renewals: renewals scheduled for the third quarter of 2025 were moved to the second quarter of that year. The company said this timing reduced sales in the comparative quarter by about SEK 80 million and cut earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation by about SEK 70 million. The comparison base was therefore lower than it would have been had the renewals taken place in the third quarter. The company said the largest earnings improvements came in its Design Management and Process Management divisions. Cash flow from operating activities also improved to SEK 9 million, after a negative SEK 64 million in the third quarter of 2025.
Design Management was one of the main sources of improvement, with sales rising 21%, including organic growth of 8%. Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation increased 184% to SEK 122 million. The company attributed the improvement to an easier comparison base, organic growth, contributions from acquisitions and efficiency measures. In Process Management, results for the first quarter of 2026 showed sales growth of 15% to SEK 466 million, compared with SEK 404 million in the corresponding period. The division's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose to SEK 104 million from SEK 82 million.
Commercial developments included a contract won by Sokigo, part of the Process Management division, with the City of Stockholm to support the management of urban planning cases. The contract runs for 10 years, with a total order value of about SEK 100 million, the company said. In August, Symetri acquired the business of U.S. AI-powered facilities management platform Space Intel. The company expects the acquired business to add about SEK 10 million to annual sales. The deal is consistent with the company's statement that acquisitions, alongside organic growth and improved efficiency, contributed to stronger earnings.
On the outlook, Addnode Group said more customer agreements with three-year terms are expected to come up for renewal in 2027, supporting continued organic growth. The company set February 9, 2027, as the date for publishing its 2026 year-end report. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation were SEK 148 million in the second quarter of 2026, compared with SEK 238 million in the second quarter of 2025, while the margin fell to 10.2% from 16.3%. This puts the third-quarter result in the context of a sequential improvement after the previous quarter's performance, alongside the effect of Autodesk renewal timing on the year-on-year comparison. The available report did not include a share price or its movement after the results announcement.
