Boohoo Group Returns to Profit in First Half as Turnaround Accelerates
Key Facts
Boohoo Group reported a pre-tax profit of £28 million for the six months ending August 31, 2026. Proactive Investors reported that the company swung to profit from an £18 million loss a year earlier, supported by improving sales and wider margins. This marks the first time the group has delivered a positive pre-tax result since August 2021.
The performance was bolstered by a 14% growth in the Debenhams brand, while gross margins expanded to 54% from 52% in the previous year. Statutory results included a £41 million non-cash gain linked to the sublease of the group’s US distribution centre, and net debt was reduced to £99 million.
