Vita Coco raised its annual net sales forecast to a range of $810 million to $820 million as it reported growth in third-quarter sales and earnings, according to the company's earnings release. Quarterly net sales totaled $244 million, an increase of $62 million from the same period a year earlier. That increase represented year-on-year growth of 34% in the fiscal period ended September 30, 2026. The company posted quarterly net income of $35 million, with diluted earnings per share of $0.58. The higher sales forecast was accompanied by an increase in its annual adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization outlook, as the company anticipates higher costs of goods in the fourth quarter.

The previous annual net sales forecast ranged from $790 million to $805 million, according to an earlier earnings release filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. That forecast already included Copra's contribution for the remainder of the year following its acquisition by Vita Coco, so the latest revision raises an annual range that already incorporated the acquired business. Both the lower and upper ends of the sales range increased from the previous full-year 2026 forecast. On profitability, Vita Coco set its new annual adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization range at $170 million to $175 million, according to the latest earnings release. The company had previously forecast this earnings measure at $154 million to $161 million, meaning both ends of the profitability forecast were also raised.

Compared with its earlier performance, Vita Coco recorded net sales of $216 million in the second quarter of 2026, according to the filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Year-on-year sales growth in that quarter was 28%, before accelerating in the third quarter. In the third quarter of 2025, sales totaled $182 million, with the company posting year-on-year growth of 37%, according to the earnings release for that period. Commenting on the results for the year-earlier period, Chief Executive Martin Roper attributed strong shipments to "very strong demand for Vita Coco coconut water and excellent execution" by the company's teams. In the current third-quarter results, organic sales growth, which excludes the impact of the Copra acquisition, was 18%, according to the company, alongside total sales growth that included the deal's impact.

Vita Coco's acquisition of Copra closed on July 22, 2026, during the fiscal quarter covered by the latest results, according to the acquisition announcement. Initial consideration at closing totaled $175 million, according to the company's announced transaction terms. That consideration was subject to customary closing adjustments under the announced terms of the Copra acquisition. Operationally, Vita Coco said the acquisition expanded its supply chain capabilities by adding a factory in Thailand. The factory provides access to "Nam Hom" coconuts, according to the company's statement, adding production capacity and access to this variety alongside the acquisition's sales contribution.

Ocean freight costs had emerged ahead of the earnings announcement in Piper Sandler's assessment of potential pressures on the company, according to coverage published by Investing.com in September 2026. The firm estimated that higher freight rates could impose a quarterly burden of $5 million on Vita Coco. It linked that estimate to freight rates remaining at the levels prevailing when the coverage was published, making the potential burden conditional on those rates holding. In its outlook for the following period, Vita Coco said it expected a gross margin of "approximately 33%" in the fourth quarter of 2026. The company attributed the expected margin level to higher costs of goods, placing cost pressures among the features of the final quarter of the year as it raised its annual sales and earnings forecasts.
