Uniswap Enables Liquidity Aggregation From 7 Sources on Ethereum, Base and Robinhood
Key Facts
Uniswap Labs announced on October 22, 2026 that liquidity aggregation tools were available on Ethereum mainnet, Base and Robinhood Chain, allowing swaps to be routed to liquidity sources connected to the protocol. The company said the launch covers 7 sources, expanding the liquidity accessible to trading routes. The tools are available to users through the Uniswap web app and its API. The trading router fetches fresh quotes from connected sources with each block, according to the company's announcement. Routing is thus tied to quotes refreshed at the block level as it searches for a path to execute a swap. The entire trading route settles in a single transaction, even when drawing on liquidity available through these sources. The launch combines access to liquidity from connected protocols with execution of the selected route through infrastructure provided by Uniswap.
The liquidity sources include Curve, Fluid and PancakeSwap, names cited by Uniswap Labs in its launch announcement. Developer documentation details support for PancakeSwap version 3 and Slipstream, alongside Uniswap versions 2 and 3 and their forks. The documentation also lists LitePSM among the sources supported by the aggregation tools. On routing, the API documentation explains that automated market maker routes can split a trade across multiple paths to improve its output. They can also use multiple hops, with execution passing through a series of swaps rather than being limited to a direct conversion. A route can combine trade splitting and multiple hops, according to the documentation, broadening the execution options the router uses to improve the swap's final output.
Access to external liquidity also affects the mechanism for protocol fees and burns of its UNI token, according to the Uniswap Labs announcement. The company said that "swaps routed through these sources pay protocol fees and contribute to UNI burns." The "Unification" proposal had linked sourcing liquidity from other on-chain protocols to the addition of a programmatic token-burning mechanism. The proposal described the tools as drawing liquidity from those protocols and adding programmatic burns on top, linking aggregation to this aspect of the protocol's economics. The expansion comes after cumulative trading volume through Uniswap surpassed $4.5 trillion, according to the latest launch announcement. Cumulative volume reported when the Unification proposal was published was about $4 trillion, an earlier level of activity for the protocol that is now incorporating the additional liquidity sources.
The aggregation tools are built on the customizable hooks architecture in Uniswap version 4, whose launch was announced on January 31, 2025. These hooks allow developers to build custom logic for liquidity pools and swaps, according to the release announcement. Customization also covers fees and liquidity provider positions, giving hooks functions beyond trade routing alone. The current expansion was preceded by Uniswap's announcement of their deployment on Tempo on March 18, 2026. The company described that deployment at the time as "the first live implementation of liquidity aggregation tools." In the Tempo implementation, the aggregator wraps the network's native stablecoin exchange as a set of Uniswap version 4 pools. This architecture makes both liquidity sources available to users, establishing the operational precedent for the subsequent expansion of the tools to the networks covered by the October announcement.
On Robinhood Chain, support for the aggregation tools builds on a presence Uniswap had previously announced for trading services linked to stock tokens. The company had announced support for Robinhood stock tokens through its web app, wallet and API. That support uses UniswapX and an automated market maker mechanism, according to the company's earlier announcement about the network. On the next step for the liquidity aggregation tools, Uniswap Labs said in its October 22 announcement that support for additional networks would come "soon." That puts coverage of other networks on the expansion path the company has announced for these tools.
