J.P. Morgan Asset Management is moving to expand the availability of its JLTXX U.S. government money market fund to the public Solana network, according to a prospectus supplement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The supplement, dated October 1, 2026, states that the fund's tokens "will be available on the Solana network." The expansion adds another network to an existing product whose original launch announcement was published on May 13, 2026, when it was available on the public Ethereum network. The fund is registered in the United States and was designed to support stablecoin issuers' needs under the GENIUS Act. Its use across blockchain networks thus extends within a liquidity management product aimed at those needs.

At the fund's launch, J.P. Morgan Asset Management announced a $100 million investment in it, with additional participation from Anchorage Digital. The company said in its launch statement that it was "investing $100 million in JLTXX," with the initial funding accompanying the product's debut on the blockchain. Although the fund's purpose is linked to stablecoin issuers' needs, its shares and token balances are not stablecoins, according to its summary prospectus. Investors continue to hold shares in a U.S. government money market fund, even with associated token balances on the network. The prospectus explicitly warns of investment risks, stating: "You could lose money by investing in the fund."

Access to and transactions in the token share class are subject to conditions, with the summary prospectus setting a minimum account opening investment of $1,000,000 for this class. The prospectus supplement restricts purchases, redemptions and transfers of token balances to allowlisted addresses. Approval applies to all these transactions, meaning transfers between addresses are also subject to this restriction. The definitive record of share ownership is the investor register, according to the fund's prospectus, which states that "the investor register determines ownership of shares, not token balances on the blockchain." The transaction mechanism thus combines use of a public network, approval of transacting addresses and reliance on the investor register to determine legal ownership.

This product was preceded by the MONY fund, for which JPMorgan published its original launch announcement on December 15, 2025, and which was available on the public Ethereum network. Its regulatory structure differs from that of the registered government fund, as the company offered it through a private placement under Rule 506(c). The fund allows eligible investors to earn dollar-denominated returns, according to its launch statement. Its investments are concentrated in U.S. Treasury securities and repurchase agreements fully collateralized by U.S. Treasury securities. The statement said investors would be able to subscribe and redeem using cash or stablecoins through the Morgan Money platform. This mechanism links subscription and redemption methods to investment in traditional dollar-denominated assets within the private placement structure specified by the company.

JPMorgan has previously transacted on Solana in the debt market, arranging a commercial paper issuance for Galaxy Digital Holdings on December 11, 2025, according to Investing.com. The issuance totaled $50 million and was executed on the Solana network. Across the network, the Solana Foundation said the value of tokenized real-world assets reached $3.7 billion in late July 2026. This total excluded stablecoins, making it a measure of tokenized real-world assets outside that category. These assets had 313 thousand holders, according to the foundation, providing market context ahead of the supplement making JPMorgan's fund tokens available on the network.

In its explanation of money market fund tokenization, JPMorgan describes JLTXX as providing exposure to U.S. Treasuries, alongside daily reinvestment of distributions. Features marketed by the company include faster settlement through transfers between parties on the blockchain. These stated benefits relate to how the fund is transacted and its distributions managed, alongside the nature of the assets to which it provides exposure. As for the next step, the prospectus supplement dated October 1, 2026, anticipates expanding availability to additional blockchain networks in the future. The supplement says "expansion to other blockchain networks is expected in the future," with no specific timetable for that expansion.
