Analysts expected Gentherm to report third-quarter revenue of $403.97 million, according to Investing.com on the day before the results announcement. Their estimates included earnings per share of 65 cents for the thermal management technology company, which completed its merger with businesses belonging to Modine in early October. For comparison with the year-earlier period, Gentherm reported product revenue of $386.9 million in the previous year's third quarter. Annual product revenue growth at that time was 4.1%, according to the company's third-quarter 2025 earnings statement. That compared with product revenue of $371.5 million in the third quarter of 2024.

In its most recent previous quarterly results, Gentherm reported product revenue of $416.2 million in the second quarter of 2026. That represented an 11.0% increase from a year earlier, according to the company's earnings statement issued in July. Product revenue in the comparable period of 2025 was $375.1 million. For the full year, the company forecast product revenue of between $1.55 billion and $1.65 billion in the same statement. That guidance excluded the deal's impact, with the company saying it "does not reflect any impact from the proposed merger with Modine's Performance Technologies business."

Gentherm announced the merger's completion in early October, after the deal was still pending when it issued its July guidance. The merger included Modine's Performance Technologies business, according to Gentherm's statement announcing the deal's completion. Explaining the assets transferred to it, the company said: "As part of the transaction, Gentherm acquired the Modine brand, domains and trademarks." When it announced the merger's completion, it said it had more than 18,000 employees. It added that its facilities spanned 17 countries, describing the company's scale following the deal's completion.

On returning capital to shareholders, Gentherm's board approved a new share repurchase program in July. The authorization set a limit of up to $400 million, according to the company's announcement. The program was announced in the second-quarter 2026 earnings statement. For discussion of its third-quarter results, the company scheduled a call on the day of their release, according to its earnings notice. The call is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Eastern Time.
