FirstCash Holdings reported revenue of $1,101.167 million in the third quarter of 2026, with results marked by growth in its pawn business and increased spending on share repurchases. The company said in its earnings statement that net income under generally accepted accounting principles totaled $101.152 million for the period, the group's reported accounting earnings measure. Diluted earnings per share on the same accounting basis were $2.33, compared with adjusted diluted earnings of $2.68 per share, according to the statement. The adjusted figure is a non-GAAP measure, while the accounting figure represents reported earnings per share under those principles. Across the pawn segments, revenue grew 28% from the same quarter a year earlier, according to the company. Segment income from these operations rose by the same percentage during the third quarter, alongside revenue growth. FirstCash had reported a 29% increase in total revenue from the same quarter a year earlier in its second-quarter 2026 results.

In its lending business, FirstCash's pawn loan balances reached a record $908 million at the end of September 2026, according to its quarterly earnings statement. That followed balances of $898 million at the end of June of the same year, as reported by the company with its previous quarter's results. In the United States, same-store pawn balances rose 12% at the end of September from a year earlier, according to the company. The Latin America segment recorded a 35% increase in dollar-denominated revenue during the third quarter from the same quarter a year earlier. By contrast, American First Finance's net revenue fell 20% year on year during the same period, alongside growth in the pawn segments.

FirstCash's lending model, according to the company's description of its business, involves providing "small non-recourse pawn loans secured by pledged personal property." Against the backdrop of this business's expansion, the company announced a deal in June 2026 to acquire Ramsdens, which operates a network of 174 pawn locations across England, Scotland and Wales. The original cash consideration offered for the acquisition was 600 pence per Ramsdens share, according to the deal update FirstCash published with its previous quarter's results. The company raised that consideration to 675 pence per share in an amended offer announced in July 2026, as part of its efforts to add the Ramsdens network to its British business. When it announced the deal, FirstCash expected the transaction to be accretive to earnings per share and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, according to the acquisition statement.

On shareholder returns, FirstCash's board approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.46 per share for the fourth quarter of 2026, according to the company's statement. That compares with a cash dividend of $0.42 per share, which the company announced in July with its second-quarter results for the same year. During the third quarter, FirstCash repurchased $123 million of its shares, according to figures in the earnings announcement. That brought its total spending on share repurchases to $250 million during the nine months ended September 2026. The company set November 24, 2026, as the payment date for the new cash dividend to shareholders, while the Ramsdens acquisition process continues. FirstCash aims to complete the deal by the end of 2026, subject to competition authority approval and customary closing conditions, according to its update.
